What a lovely little place to stay I stayed her with my little girl for the night as I was having renovations at home we both slept like babies rooms are lovely and clean with everything you need for a perfect stay Food: 5/5
Lovely pub on the way to Colsterworth. We visi when log burner was on, it was a great amount of heat coming out of it, and lonely glow Guinness tastes great. Lady owner I think helped us getting bearing how to get to Colsterworth by walking public footpaths, she is lovely and very friendly. Would definitely come back. thank you
Fabulous pub, fabulous staff and super B&B!Service: 5/5
Absolutely lovely little place in a quiet village, clean, cosy and comfortable. It usually takes a lot to get 5 stars from me but my car battery went flat and the owner was more than kind enough to help me. Absolute lifesaver.
We had booked a room for one night, a few days before I emailed to see if we could book a table for dinner, unfortunately we were told they could only prepare something cold as they were having a 'day off' seemed strange for a Saturday night in August. Check in was straight forward. The room was clean and of decent size for one night with a mini fridge with 2 bottles of water in and tea and coffee making facilities. We went out for a walk round the village with our dog and planned to pop in the pub for a drink but it was closed! It was only 6.45pm. If we had know all this information we probably wouldn't have booked the room. It's such a shame as my partner, who popped in to the pub on arrival to check in, said the pub was really cute. This place could be a little goldmine and community hub, maybe it is and they don't need the business
Nice little place with good beer but got turfed out after 5 hours due to a large booking that was made whilst we were in there..
What a fantastic little place to visit. The hosts are very welcoming and the chef was incredible. My partner ordered the Homemade soup and unfortunately I am a picky eater when eating out but the chef was more than capable to catering for my needs. He cooked a delicious chicken curry with the spice to suit. He even brought out a small sample for me to test before he had finished which was brilliant customer service and it truly showed that they simply care about their customers. The soup my partner had she said was the best she had ever tasted! even better then Heinz tinned soup all at a very reasonable price. Situated in a small village surrounded by beautiful countryside it is surely a hidden gem and well worth a visit!
A great local pub.
The staff make you feel like your at home with friends, it's so warm and welcoming. The food is excellent, a member of our group is a celiac and vegetarian and the chef took a great deal of care and time in creating not only safe food but something different and interesting. It's a true dining experience it's not an in and out pub dinner. I cannot thank them enough for a great time.
Thank you Charlotte and Gary for welcoming us in to your new pub. The home made food was outstanding and the hospitality was exceptional. Lovely friendly village pub with bed and breakfast will definitely return. We will highly recommend to friends and family. Thank you again Gail and Paul :
