I have been visiting this fantastic shop for many years. It is unique and old fashioned in the best sense of the word. Staff are knowledgable and freely offer advice when you are unsure. Even the smallest purchase is never too much trouble eg "I just need one bolt for ...." Such a contrast to the non existent service and pre packed items at the DIY stores. Thank you 😀

This shop is very well stocked in the "Four Candles" tradition, and I can usually find exactly what I want. The  staff are knowledgable, always helpful  but come across as a bit gruff. You dont get the polished customer skills of Homebase here!
I can recommend this shop because of it's wide range of stock and fair prices.But dont expect anyone to rub your ears or tickle your tummy!
