Just a two day stay whilst visiting family. I've heard so much about the hotel. I thought I'd give it a try.nThey have a whole host of activities to try that I did not use, so my review is limited.nThe hotel is set in wonderful grounds with plenty of parking. Check-in staff we're great and very courteous. The check-in area is modern and looks really nice.nThe room, however, is a little dated, but ok. It was nice and quiet, and the bed was comfortable. I had asked for a mattress encacement, but this had not been provided. In general, there were question marks over housekeeping. On arrival, there were several dead flies and bugs indicating a lack of cleaning.nA great breakfast was provided as part of the deal and the discounted price for the stay, which I assume was because it was early season, made the overall impression good.
We recently stayed at Crieff Hydro and were impressed by the stunning renovations throughout the hotel – the refreshed interiors really elevate the atmosphere. The bedrooms were clean, comfortable, and up to a good standard, though being woken at 5am by noisy children next door made us wish there was an adults-only wing.nnService was a bit of a letdown; it felt like more attention was being given to the older generation of guests while we were left waiting or overlooked at times. The spa experience was overall very enjoyable – clean, peaceful, and with thoughtful extras like complimentary tea and coffee – though the space could benefit from some maintenance, particularly the flaking paint on the ceiling and staining around the pool.nnOverall, we had a lovely time away and appreciated the beautiful setting, but the service gaps and noise issues may make us think twice about returning in the near future.
Loved this place, it was really difficult to find fault with it in any capacity.nnI don't often give 5 stars to anywhere, but this is up with the best of them.nnThe service, the staff, the rooms, the decor... their own 1881 gin. Loved every minute of our stay.
Perfect base for a golf weekend with 7 other friends. Food in the new East restaurant was a highlight and the refurbished bars have a great vibe. We made use of the bunker which has a pool table, darts and golf simulator and enjoyed the leisure facilities. Staff were all great.
We had the most wonderful stay here! The cottages we stayed in were absolutely stunning and immaculately clean, making us feel right at home. The hotel itself was charming and welcoming, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The attention to detail was evident everywhere, from the beautifully landscaped grounds to the impeccable service and fun activities. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and memorable getaway!
