The shop lady here is extremely rude & made me & my family feel extremely uncomfortable. Asked for a plastic bag as we were out for the day & didn’t expect to be buying shopping. Shop assistant told us we were hypocritical for being vegetarian & buying a plastic bag that’s bad for the environment. When we asked for help buying certain foods she was very abrupt & impatient. Having left we realise she charged us £32 for 1 broccoli, a few mushrooms, 1 parsnip, 6 potatoes, 2 jars of sauce, 2 mini nut roasts, & mustard. Couldn’t go back as it was late when we realised so had no choice but to leave upset & out of pocket. Really disgusting service & I 100% am not surprised at the other review on here.

Just don't go there!! I left this place shaking after the shopkeeper had a go at my mum & I for choosing an undented can of chickpeas from her shelves rather than taking the one that was badly dented... She was rude & aggressive and would not stop going on & on about us being spoilt & arrogant, having to eat all the dented cans herself etc etc, forgetting we were actually paying for these goods! I've never experienced anything like this, going into a shop only to be verbally assaulted by the owner. Deeply shocking. My mum is French and didn't understand what caused this aggressive outburst. I have a strong French accent too; I do wonder if someone with say a more Salcombe upper class accent would have experienced the same angry outburst if they'd dare leave a dented can on the shelves. My guest is that the shopkeeper wouldn't have dared. Very sad behaviour.
