I can finally drive at night again... Also my sight has improved massively. I was speaking with Paul, regarding a problem I was having driving at night, basically, at night the lights of other cars were causing me terrible issues and they were blinding. I was booked in right away for a test and found out I have a astigmatism which left would have got a lot worse. Long story short. I can drive at night and my vision is perfect again. 5 star service. Also a mention for Pam and Gráinne. Everything explained perfectly.
I had a very bad experience with them. It took over a month to make a pair of glasses. I went over there a couple of times, the second time It turned out the laboratory made a mistake with the glasses, the glasses had a huge peripheral distortion, and they assumed the responsibility for that and say sorry. They asked a second laboratory to make a new pair of lenses, and again the same problem as before, it had a bit less peripheral distortion than the first one but still could not see well. Instead of taking responsibility, they made up that I need glasses to see up close, which did not make sense because the glasses they made had peripheral distortion from far and near distances, I tried to tell them several times but they insisted to make new glasses to see up close. I have worn glasses my whole life and never had this issue. I changed my glasses to higher prescriptions several times during my life and no problem at all. They are not professional at all, please, avoid this place if you want to have peace of mind.
Had to write a review, had an excellent experience in Crowleys with my 7 year old daughter Chloe who needed new glasses. We had a small issue but was quickly rectified and she loves her new glasses. The staff here are excellent, allocate you alot of time for each visit and explain everything to you along the way from picking the correct frames to lenses in great detail. They even rang out of hours to check up that her new glasses where fine. Keep up the excellent service and see you again for when she needs her next set of glasses... Would highly recommend if your kid is looking for new glasses, take them here....
If I could give this opticians 10 stars I would.. I have been attending opticians for over 20 years and have never had as thorough a check than here at Crowley opticians. This was my first visit here today and the lady in reception was so welcoming. She was most helpful. The optician Pam is by far *exceptional* in her profession. I had an old injury to my eye from years ago that has led me to be fairly anxious about my vision. She was very understanding, Compassionate and full of advice for me. I left with a major sense of relief & a lot of knowledge about my condition. I finally know how to manage it. The eye test itself was extremely thorough. My eyes were literally checked inside out. Thank you so much Pam for your time and care today. I will be recommending you all to my friends and family. Thank you guys!
Unfortunately we had a very bad experience with the retail end of this shop my daughter had an eye exam and it turned out she needs glasses. She went ahead with a consultation with i believe the lady’s name is Grainne McGuire, she felt a bit pressured into choosing glasses that Grainne felt suited her over glasses she actually wanted, when my daughter returned home I was shocked to hear the glasses would be costing €200 especially when my daughter only felt so so about the glasses, i rang the shop and spoke to an optician he had done the examination on my daughter he explained the whole situation very well I can’t fault him at all, he booked my daughter back in for the following afternoon to look at other glasses or possibly taking the prescription else where which is not uncommon. We arrived for the consultation and immediately Grainne is hostile and down right rude to myself and my daughter, I explained my daughter didn’t love the glasses and for the price she should love them. I also explained after speaking with a family friend who is an optician in Dublin that we didn’t want the extra ultra blue coating she kept speaking over me and telling me Amy needed it. At this point I felt we were getting nowhere and I asked could we look at some other frames which we did unassisted by any staff, I explained to my daughter that the glasses were far too over priced the only glasses on display seemed to be designer and in comparison to other opticians the shelves were sparse and I wasn’t prepared to pay that for one pair of glasses, when Grainne walked around the corner she motioned for us to come over she open a drawer with her foot and said we have frames in that drawer for €100 turned her back and walked back to the till area at this stage I was done. I asked for my money back for the glasses and the blue light coating and I’d go else where, at this point I was refused the prescription and told that basically they were not handing out the prescription incase the shop I chose messed up the prescription and blamed them. I left feeling absolutely furious at how we were treated. I wouldn’t recommend this opticians and I genuinely think Grainne could do with some serious retraining to say the least. I went across the road to another opticians and the service was far superior.
My daughter who is new to using contact lenses wasn’t sure if she had removed one yesterday. Today we found ourselves looking for an optician that would take a look without an appointment. My daughter was upset and her eye very sore she was getting very distressed the longer the situation was going on. We called in by chance and could have very easily been told we needed an appointment especially under current restrictions. I was absolutely blown away by how professional and how lovely they were to my daughter and I. My daughter was given a full assessment and advised of after care treatment at home. Going forward I am looking forward to my daughter attending Crowleys. COVID restrictions were fully observed
I had the pleasure of visiting Crowley's Opticians in Newbridge recently. I needed new glasses. I was blown away by how friendly and professional the staff are. Grainne was so generous with her time and spent a lot of time helping me choose a frame. My eyes got a fantastic examination. I would highly recommend a visit to Crowley's Opticians in Newbridge. The premises is stunning too.
We brought our daughter in when we heard the services Grainne and the team were providing in Newbridge. Jasmine had suffered with bad motion sickness which we had kind of written off as a kiddie thing but at 13 it was still a problem. In the beautufully equipped sensory room they were able to measure how Jasmine processed light across the spectrum and determine how that affected her reading ability. Jasmine was very impressed with the science and the service and is so excited with her beautiful new glasses which she was very particular to pick out. We can't recommend Crowleys highly enough! It was such an education to realise how we all process light differently, we are after all, each one of us, unique! Your unique-ness couldn't be in better hands that with Crowleys, to be educated as well as looked after with the best service and glasses. John.Murphy Cadamstown
I could not recommend these guys enough, Aidan was amazing with my 5 year old son , he was so friendly, patient and thorough . He made it really fun and held his attention for the whole exam , as u can imagine is hard for a 5 year old . Grainne was fantastic and took us through all shapes and sizes of frames suitable for him . They have a lovely upstairs children’s area where the kids are kept busy playing while you can take your time and browse through the frames .
Has my son in for a driving license eye test. The optician, Grainne, and the staff were were very professional, efficient and friendly. Was in and out with the eye test report in 20 minutes. Happy customer.
