Would highly recommend NOT using this insurance company. Myself and my husband William Bowling have taken out insurance with this company and listed our engagement ring separately on there. We have unfortunately lost this and are absolutely devastated. The insurance company directed us to their recommended jewellers which valued the ring at £3023. We were originally told that what the valuation price was will be the same if we wanted to go back to the original jeweller we got our ring from. We had decided this is what we would like to do. However, the insurance company have now gave us the valuation of £2000 as apparently they have discount with the recommended jeweller? and therefore if we did not use them we would only get £2000 which isn’t the value of the ring… but if we went with their recommended we would get the £3023? make this make sense! absolutely appauling customer service. When explaining the sentimental reason as to why we want to go to the original jeweller the lady on the phone gave attitude saying “but why won’t you use our jeweller?!” because we don’t want to!! and not now especially after this awful interaction. I will never be using this company again and this should be a lesson to everyone - please please please check who you are insuring valuable items with if you want to get the full cost of the loss. Please go independently to specialists!!
My mother is vulnerable and had a burst pipe. Covea couldn’t be a worse company to deal with. Constant issues. They were not supposed to be contacting my mother due to her vulnerabilities however kept doing so. This resulted in my mum having to increase her medication due to stress. Didnt pay money in a timely manner. Never called back. Agreed a compensation claim for the issues we had and now they will not even pay that. Don’t not deal with. They will not help when you need there help the most.
Don’t take your insurance out with this company worst company ever very slow to respond or action anything. I chose this company as they were one of the cheapest monthly. I bought my 19 plate car for £9,999 end of April 2021 my car then got wrote off beginning of May 2022. They only paid a total of £4,225.77 as they said that was all it was worth there was not a scratch on it, i tried arguing and had photograph evidence before it was damaged and asked to have it revalued and they just refused. They robbed me thousands of pounds of what i was owed. Don’t let them fob you off like they did me.
Absolutely useless company. Check who is underwriting your policy and avoid at all costs. We are 2 years into a still unresolved subsidence claim. They set us up with the worst surveyors in history. We have had one round of compensation and are about to start legal action to try and get any kind of movement on the project. They are useless
Claim submitted 4 weeks ago, the only phone contact is them calling me THREE times for my personal details, as they “were lost… again”. Great data protection guys! Have now emailed customer services. No response. This company itself is a car crash
Shambles of a company…after 4 weeks and 6 phone calls to them. Still haven’t even started my claim for my home insurance. They claim to be waiting for my documents to be sent from a 3rd party which were sent over while I was on the phone to them the first time I rang as the girl in customer services was reading it to me. Can’t wait to get you off the phone and just tell you it will take a couple of days and ring back in a week if you don’t hear anything. Would stay well clear if you like some sort of actual service from a company. Pathetic.
Worst insurance company I have ever had the misfortune to come across. Slow ....snails work faster and they don't use email only post. Still not paid following my mum's death whereas Sunlife paid out day after I called them. Absolutely useless!
Absolute joke of a company, spent the last 7 days to get through on the phone with endless wait times of over an hour, have even tried to email with no success. Do these people actually work!. Will make sure my next car insurance is not underwritten by these incompetent people.
Anyone that has dealt with this company check to see when they have settled your finance if they deducted money for scrap cost! Pocketing the scrap cost, trying to SCAM customers for a profit. The absolute worst Company to deal with. Each person comes back with a different answer. They continuously lie and screw you over and the next person apologises on behalf of the last. Daylight Robbery is all they do. Absolute Joke, they should all be held accountable for what they cause people to go through…
They deliberately did not send letters until too late, I got a letter dated the 17th from them saying if they didn't hear from me in 7days then they'd suspend the claim. I got the letter on the 25th, exactly one day too late, far too convenient and I believe on purpose.
