Never really had any reason to go to the council before , but what a surprise , a lovely building , very pleasant staff all at the front desks , all of them smiled , and nothing to much bother for them to sort out , more than willing to help , with any advice you need , Had a appointment with Joanne Jones , must say was lovely , kind and understanding , again offering lovely friendly service , nothing to much trouble , you often here so much negativity about the local council , but I must say I was blown away with there , friendly polite and smiles and Can Do attitude a great representation of our lovely historic Market town 10/10 in my book , Thank you all
Absolute waste of time having building control and enforcement people here: it seems you can break building plans an permissions an get away with it. I have a neighbour who was given permission to build a single story flattop extension to the rear of his house but instead of that he’s built a double story apex extension." So it’s double the height and 1m deeper than it should be. No matter how many times building control and the enforcement people have been told about this they have let him carry on with the build absolute joke, I even stressed that it has made my kitchen darker but little do they care: also he didn’t even supply us with a party wall agreement. If this building was inspected properly then I should’ve been seen that he was over size from the start and he hasn’t even used a proper builder"".
