This specific Costa seems to be very inconsistent with its service. If your lucky nothing will go wrong and you’ll get the best possible service you can ask for. But if you not then you will come across young servers who are too busy talking to their colleagues, making mistakes and are careless with your order. This was also an issue when one person dropped a pastry and asked if it needed to be changed! I would recommend it on the good days, but on some days it may not be the place you want to take a friend when your out for a good time.
I love a Costa hot chocolate, and they offer a fairly wide range of cakes to go alongside. The staff are very friendly, however they seem to be understaffed, and wait time can be quite long.Food: 5/5
Always the best service and best costa coffee here in Welwyn G City. My favourite coffee shop, where I go regularly.
11/3/23 9am went to Costa coffee the coffee is lovely, but the staff are shocking she asked me what i wanted keep on walking away then eventually served me i asked politely for a cappuccino she said what 5 times I had to repeat myself 5 times before she got it and when I got my coffee i said thank you she just walked away apolling service.

I popped in yesterday with my mum and daughter. The toilet is possibly the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. I reported it to staff who just said ‘thank you’ this isn’t a days worth of dirt- or a week. I don’t know when this was last cleaned .I will try and attach photos.
Only go there for coffee but pleasant staff and good coffee!
Costa Coffee and tea are not hot enough always in cold mode. I believe they need to be changed the coffee machine..
Costa's nice. The actual drinks are pretty good while queueing or ordering it's unlikely that you won't see the staff openly mock someone. Thought this was the starbucks cliche but it turns out that in Costa you're made to feel pretty bad if you don't know their menu by heart, which by the way, it's often not displayed. Figure that one out.
Lovely staff here even though they were closing still helped me out with serving my drink later to closing time so it was warm.. Ileana nina were awesome
