It took me 37 years to realose that Mexican is my favourite cuisine. There are not that many Mexican restaurants in London, but this one stands out.nnThe food was very good. From start to finish, not one of complained. We all agreed that this was a spot worth coming back to. The fish tacos were exceptional, and I could eat them every single day.nnTheir cocktails were also outstanding. I can't think of a better place in London for Mexican food. We will be back!
Love love Corrochios! It's busy for good reason. The tacos are the best I've had in London granted haven't been to too many places but rival the best stuff I've had in Toronto, CMDX, New York.nnThe meaty ones are super juicy and flavorful. We love the carnitas and birria tacos - they do get really messy, but are super yummy! The gobernador is also elite. Fish taco was alright but not as tasty. They seem to have a rotating menu so won't always have the same options on offer. Wish they had a dessert menu! Tres leches please? Or a horchata?nnThere's also the cantina downstairs with more relaxed bar vibe and late night dancey Latin music. I think they stop serving food at 10pm though. Their drinks are decent but I think you can find better margaritas on the so called mezcal mile.
Went for taco Tuesdays and had some of the best tacos I’ve had in London! My only annoyance is that the tacos are very small 10cm, you get about two bites! The flavours on the meat and veggie tacos were tasty and spicy with the addition of hot sauce. The guac was okay, nothing special.nnI liked the sauce station addition but there was only one hot sauce, onions, limes, pickled cucumber and beans, would be nice to have a bit more additions. The spicy margaritas were lovely too and the meal deal is worth getting if you want a drink.
Very tasty authentic Mexican food, not a typical tex-mex version.nnCame with a friend who had lived in Mexico so had authority on good Mexican food!nnHad a variety of tacos, vampiros and the pork Torta sandwich.nnAll of it was delicious, although the beef short rib was a bit too salty.nnGreat vibe, beautifully decorated and a friendly & efficient service. Would recommend!
Our first time here! We both started with a mezcalita cocktail and shared some chips and guacamole which was lovely, we reserved a table and sat outside which was much quieter than inside and a great atmosphere. We then had a grilled octopus tostada and ceviche tostada both of which were so delicious and unique. Then we shared the two meat tacos, both incredible! We also shared some pickled chilli’s which were delicious but extremely spicy, order if you like fermented flavours and spice! We finished with a palomita cocktails which was unique and recessing and well balenced. The bill was 120 including service which we thought was good for the amount of food and two cocktails each. Great service and the food came extremely quickly, could have done with a little bit more time before the tostadas and the tacos to digest! Will be coming back, definitely book in advance
