We had a wonderful stay at this charming B&B. The location was ideal - being a little further out meant it was very quiet and peaceful, but still an easy walk in to Ventnor.nnOur room was very clean with a comfy bed and a huge shower. The lounge and breakfast rooms were a lovely bonus as was the fresh milk for tea and coffee! Everything was beautifully kept and had a calm, inviting feel.nnThe hosts were great too: around if we needed anything but not at all intrusive, and very friendly. It was also excellent value.nnHighly recommend if you're looking for a quiet, scenic place to unwind with lovely people and beautiful surroundings!
A one night solo stay. The room was compact but had everything I needed. It was spotlessly clean. I had a wonderful view of Ventnor downs. There was plenty of tea and coffee, and you could get more if needed. Excellent position for the town and beach. Nice greeting from Stuart.nI’d definitely recommend staying.
My friend and I spent this last weekend at Cornerways, in the picturesque village of Bonchurch, Ventnor—and it was a truly memorable experience. Bonchurch is a place that seems suspended in time. It’s where Charles Dickens once stayed, and walking through its quiet, winding streets, with grand old mansions peeking out from behind stone walls and tall trees, I felt transported into the past. The sound of birds and the sea in the background added to the sense of calm and wonder—it’s truly a special corner of the Isle of Wight.nnCornerways fits perfectly into this setting. The house itself is full of character, with elegant architecture and a lovely garden where we enjoyed sitting quietly, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. Linda, the hostess, was incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel welcome from the very first moment—more like visiting a friend’s home than staying at a hotel.nnOur room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the sea view from our window was beautiful. Coffee and tea were available in the room and in the shared living room, where we also found books, games, cookies, and fresh water—all thoughtful touches that added to the relaxed and homey feel.nnBreakfast was served in a charming basket and enjoyed in the cosy breakfast area—simple, fresh, and just right.nnIt just exceeded our expectations in every possible way.
Have a perfect stay! Linda and Stu were warm and welcoming hosts. The jacuzzi and super-comfy beds were so needed after long days hiking and the room was beautiful. A short walk from the beach, prom and Ventnor town centre. A real home-from-home. Would definitely stay again. Thanks so much, guys!
I spend much of the year travelling, both in the UK and abroad; always without incident. I cannot, however, think of a time in the past 25 years when I have been spoken down to or disrespected as a client as acutely as happened at this hotel, over a matter so laughable it doesn't even merit comment. If you are looking for a property whose owners are petty, paternalistic and patronising, look no further. If you are looking for a relaxing stay and to be treated as an adult, I would highly suggest taking your custom elsewhere.
