My boyfriend and I recently stopped by Cora's for breakfast, enticed by the promise of hearty morning fare to start our day off right. While our visit had its ups and downs, it ultimately left us with mixed feelings. Opting for a classic Eggs Benedict with bacon on an English muffin, accompanied by a side of fries and fruits, I found the dish to be passable but not exceptional. The dish was lacking and I couldn't shake the feeling that I've had better renditions of this breakfast staple elsewhere. However, the fruit was good. Meanwhile, my boyfriend opted for some sort of breakfast poutine with veggies, topped with an egg. He seemed to enjoy it more than I did my dish, finding it satisfying and flavourful, albeit not mind-blowing. In terms of ambiance and service, Cora's delivered a satisfactory experience. The convenience and affordability were definite highlights, making it a decent choice for a quick breakfast fix. In summary, while our breakfast at Cora's was decent, it fell short of wowing us. For the price and convenience, it served its purpose, but we've certainly had better breakfasts elsewhere. It's a solid 3 out of 5 stars from us, with hopes that improvements can be made to elevate the dining experience in the future.
This was the worst breakfast I’ve ever been served in Toronto. Ordered the “burger in a skillet” and was surprised to find that instead of ground beef, they literally took what tasted like a frozen patty and cut it into smaller chunks and tossed it in the bowl. They also used SLICED CHEESE just spread haphazardly on top, not even melted. On top of that, the poached egg arrived separately from the dish almost 10 minutes after it came out?? And this place was NOT cheap, this came to $20. If you’re in st Lawrence you have better options, don’t go here.
Service was really good. Quick and constant coffee top ups. Im always surprised by their menu options and the food is pretty decent too for a chain. Only complaint was that we paid additional for Beyond sausages but it was just a patty cut up. Not the end of the world but just wasn't what we were expecting for the additional cost.
This restaurant was suggested to us by the hotel staff and it was an incredible experience. We ate their three mornings in a row in our kids raved about it. The waffles with fruits, and the crêpes were to die for. Parking: It’s on a busy street parking is difficult
Early breakfast. The restaurant is fully accessible, clean and the Staff are pleasant & polite. Street parking only. The food, well, nothing seriously wrong with it but it could be improved. Deep fried potatoes that are stuck together, sausage that can use an injection of flavour and super thin, nearly see through bacon. Asked for a tea with lemon and was told sorry, no lemon. Cora's of old this is not. But good portions won't leave you hungry.
Very tasty delicious food and excellent customer service. Definitely I will go back again with my family and friends. Food: 5/5
Came here for Saturday brunch with friends + baby & it was really good! I shared the breakfast burrito and strawberry banana pancakes. The burrito is in a crepe instead of a tortilla and that’s a substitute I would always choose for a burrito if I could. The pancakes had crispy edges and were fluffy - strawberries bananas, and all other ingredients were fresh. I’m a big coffee drinker and the coffee tasted like diner coffee - better coffee would make this 5 stars. The wait for the food was pretty long so quicker would make service 5 stars. Booster chair / table / baby and kid friendliness was great
I love going to Cora for Brunch with my kids and loved their food, but this time, the food looks like just heated and served. The fruits don't look fresh, and the place was empty, unlike other Cora.Food: 2/5
I came 2:00 pm, the restaurant was dead. Coras always been one of my favourite breakfast restaurant, but since they have closed many branches, only this branch that open. The area was super busy, in front of st Lawrence market. So that’s surprising! There are people on summer vacation though the area Before covid every branches always busy and always a line up, amazingly for this branch which the only branch in Toronto was not that busy. Food always good and consistent. I hope the restaurant can survive.
My daughter took me and her 2 children out for brunch this morning. The waitress didn't write any of our orders down. We also had to ask for 2 more sets of cutlery after the food had arrived. I asked for the baked beans with my eggs because I don't eat meat. I also asked for rye toast. I received bacon instead. After letting the waitress know she said the beans were coming. So I put the bacon aside, and the beans arrived when we were all just about finished our breakfast. The rye toast came rather quickly after receiving white toast and reminding her that wasn't what I ordered. I am writing this review because this is my second visit with the same issue with toast last time. Also, the last time we didn't have any ketchup for our home fries, so I saved them to reheat at home later. I understand they are working hard, and I am appreciative of that, but there are some basic things that need to be addressed here. Lastly, they don't provide crayons or markers for the coloring and activity menu for kids. Kid-friendliness: They do provide a menu with activities and coloring pages but you may have to bring your own crayons.
