Top ground. Beautiful day. The man on the sound desk was having a great day. Plenty of places to buy food and drink. Wish there was better parking but that's my only complaint.
good ground, attentive stewards, pity alcohol served in plastic cups is not allowed to be taken out of the grounds post event, considering the elevated costs per pint etc
Excellent place with brilliant cricket lots of facilities available a great selection of food and drink and really good views of the action.
This was my third visit to this venue but my rating is based purely on my latest experience although I will refer to previous visits.nnFirst of all, this is a lovely ground, in a town that has many personal attachments as I have familial connections to Taunton and the surrounding area.nnMy first visit was for a domestic One Day Cup match, Somerset Vs Surrey in 2015. I took the train from Bristol and it was about a 10min walk from the Station.nnMy second visit was during the 2019 Cricket World Cup. On that occasion, we drove and used the Park & Ride by the M5, J25.nnOn this particular visit, again we drove but as it was a Sunday, the Park & Ride was NOT in operation.nnWe ended up parking in the Wood Street car park which is about 10mins walk from the ground. The Canon Street Car Park, which is basically next to the ground, was already full.nnAccess to the ground was smooth, however on this particular occasion, I had my England Flag confiscated with no explanation. I later discovered it was because the match involved Pakistan. I don't know who at SomersetCCC thought there would be trouble at a WOMENS INTERNATIONAL but IMO, they should be sacked!nnWe were sat in the Marcus Trescothick stand which had an excellent view of the pitch. Unfortunately due to the weather, there was little action.nnI can't comment on the catering options as we bought our own food but the coffee we purchased from the outlet under the stand tasted awful!nnI'm sure the locals/regulars will have different opinions about the venue but I hope Somerset can continue hosting International fixtures.
Fantastic pitch for T20 match. Plenty of food and drinks outlets. Pleasant atmosphere.
