Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD) offers a range of dance activities including weekend and evening courses for children, young people and adults

Story

Learning & Participation at NSCD provides community access and participation, we nurture an inclusive and mutually-respectful learning environment and provide a place for participants, of all ages and abilities to enjoy, engage in and learn through contemporary dance.
We encourage curiosity, creativity and creative risk-taking, individuality and collaboration, self-discipline, dedication and ambition throughout all our classes from our Saturday School to our adult classes.
Our team can provide a number of opportunities from classes and courses including our Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) programme at our world-class base in Chapeltown, Leeds, to bespoke programmes for schools, community groups and artists Professional Development.
We also contribute to the strategic development of dance in the North and invest in widening participation, outreach and other activities that enable as many people as possible to engage in dance as audience members and participants.

Products

Adult dance courses:
£55 per term (£50 concessions)To guarantee a place on any adult dance course you must enrol and provide course fees in full prior to or at the first class of the new term. A limited number of bursaries are available each term to unwaged Chapeltown or Harehills residents, offering a free adult dance course. Please contact the Learning and Participation team for further information.

Youth dance classes:
£3.50 per class

Saturday School:
£3 per class Book 10 classes and get one free.
