From as soon as I called up to enquire about a room for my mother and to being shown around, I was made to feel very welcome. The staff are all lovely, professional and took time to explain everything to me. The care my mother receives is outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble. I am glad I chose the Conifers
My husband was taken here as he has terminal cancer. I brought him home today. Staff were difficult to talk to regarding medications, the room was small the tray over the bed was wonky when I asked for it to be replaced I was told there was nothing wrong with it. Fan given for room was small noisy and covered in dust, bed was lopsided and my husband kept slipping to one side. Difficult to grab hold of carers to discuss concerns only 1 registered nurse available to discuss medications bone of his wishes were asked of me likes or dislikes. To top it all they brought his tea which was a sandwich sized plate with 1 spoon of baked beans and 1 spoon of mash that was it not enough to feed a toddler . I asked my husband to be brought home he is home now thank god. One thing I've learned is inspect these places before you put your relatives in the care of these homes.
My mom was sent here during covid, she had dementia, and cancer, she was scared and alone. We couldnt see her, and we barely had the chance to talk to her. Really unhelpful, arrogant staff, all we wanted was for her not to feel scared or alone. We had 1 phone call a week which we had to book..we brought a portal so our poor mother could see us. But it was never charged for her.when we moved her. Her belongings were dumped in the garden outside for us to collect...jumped up little hitlers.. you made my mothers last days on earth sheer hell. Karma will have his vengange.
I can't even begin to tell you how much the conifers looked after my mom.nFrom the moment she got there she was treated like a queen nothing was too much trouble and the staff where amazing...nMy mom was only for a short time end of life treatment but it felt like we where visiting her in her own house.nSaying thank you to all the staff doesn't feel enough x
My Mom was here for five weeks as an 'end of life' patient and I am very grateful for all the care and attention the staff gave her, and us, her family during that time. She was made comfortable and clean at all times and the staff popped in to chat to her even though she wasn't able to communicate back to them. Some of the staff went above and beyond to do things for my Mom in her last few weeks for which we appreciate. The Conifers has always been a clean and pleasant place to visit and we were made welcome at any time of the day. The nurses, carers, cooks and cleaners all did a wonderful job and they need more praise for their part in a well run care home. Once again, many thanks x
