Amazed to see some of the reviews on here - I would recommend this practice to anyone. All the dentists and John in particular are highly skilled and caring, and take time to explain everything to you. The hygienist is absolutely lovely and takes great care with cleaning. The reception staff are responsive and efficient and the surgery is clean and modern. Best dentist I’ve ever had by a mile.

It’s very reassuring that others have used such words as arrogant and rude because that is how I found the dentist to be, although I’d like to add intimidating too. I was told I needed root canal treatment and a crown, I went home to decide what to do as the treatment was expensive as it is with all dentists. To my surprise the dentist in question called me at home a few days later to encourage me to take up the treatment - which I still find unbelievable some years later - during the call he outlined the risks of me not having the treatment, the worst of which would be me suffering a crumbled/broken jaw! Nevertheless I decided against coercion and the tooth is still fine years later. There were other issues too. However I don’t doubt the expertise of the work carried out when it is necessary. I work in healthcare myself and I know that good communication skills and a good ‘bedside manner’ are just as important, if not more so, than the work being carried out and it sounds like no improvement has been made in this regard at this surgery.

Brilliant dental practice from the receptionist to John the dentist himself. The advice that I was given and the customer care was second to none but most impressive of all, the actual work carried out perfection

Made an appointment at this practice as looking for a replacement for my dentist who was retiring. Initially John was very friendly examined me, said I needed a hygienist appointment, I had only been to my own dentist a couple of weeks prior, so I new that was not the case. I refused to make an appointment for that. My next visit was for the verdict on dental plan and costs. I found John became very rude and insulting when I opted for the cheaper option of treatment, I explained money was very tight at that time. He spent too much time telling me how one parent families can afford his treatment plans so why cant I ? To be honest I could not believe how rude he was in front of his dental nurse. It is obviously just a money making practice and no genuine care is given to the patient.

I got a pulpitis because this dentist decided to put in a new filling in a molar that was totally healthy and he managed to do it too close to the pulpa. Such a simple procedure. Called many times and complained and was told to wait and that it would eventually settle. No way! The thing got so bad I had to seek an emergency elsewhere.You totally lose confidence after this one.
