I cannot fault this surgery. Four years ago I thought the reception staff were a bit rude but that has changed and they are very nice. I feel that my family and I are very well looked after and the well women clinic is excellent.
They’ve been absolutely fantastic in helping me get registered and explaining the local health system. Very friendly staff
My prescriptions are constantly messed up was left a whole day without medication for a serious health condition which made me extremely sick doctors don't do anything was told I would be given a sickline no issues when the time came I was told to just call back and reception staff are rude and sit talking to eachother instead of answering the phone
Reception staff are ok but one in particular is horrendous. Thought is was funny to laugh at my daughter for her phobia on needles. We were kept waiting 50 minutes in all as I was asked to be early. I spoke to the lady on reception 2 times. She said there was nothing she could do and rolled her eyes. I had already explained while on the phone and on our arrival that she was freaking out about the whole process and if it wasn’t really important for her mental health we would not be there. However she found the whole thing so funny we could hear her laughing from our waiting area. At 30 minutes past our appointment my daughter took to her heels and ran. I asked for another appointment but got a “for gods sake” followed by “you will have to phone up in the morning”. I explained that I was worried for her state of mind and got Well what do you want me to do ?nReally. Is this the best person for the post of receptionist. I think not.nI’m sorry to say I lost my temper.nnSo. Doctors are good. If you can get past Godzilla on the desk
Been with them over 30 years and I have to say the service is now very poor. Most of the staff are very rude. Rang today over my tablets as ive been getting 3 months supply for years, picked them up yesterday to find only 1 month supply. Rang this morning finally got through. To be told I need to ring back within the call times to book appointment with the doctor as I'm overdue my patient review would have been nice if id have known that instead of just lowering my tablets. Told girl I can never get through during them times but still she insisted I rang back between them hours to book appointment with the doc. To me that made no sense at all! So next week i will try and get through, but id say il have to call over in person. Told the unhelpful receptionist I'd been ringing since 8.30 and she said I need to just keep trying claiming all the surgeries are the same blaming covid as usual, no sorry they aren't as I have family members registered with clinics in ards, bangor etc and they don't have them issues. Dont get me wrong the doctors are great, its the receptionist that are the problem. Also had issue getting my flu jab. As I'm in priority group im entitled to it. Called down as phone was constantly busy and I already had appointment with a doctor for receptionist to tell me id have to ring at the end of the week as flu clinic was closed, not once was I asked if I was on priority list! So once I was in with my doctor I explained how id been trying for weeks to get my flu jab, doctor left the room for a few minutes and came back with my flu jab. Im now currently looking to register me and my family with another practice. If you have no health issues then this surgery is for you, otherwise stay well clear. Whoever does the prescriptions is also useless, leave a script in for 3 items, same 3 items ive been getting for years only to get 2 items and then me having to march back into doctors over missing tablets to then have to wait for a doctor to sign off on it. The list of issues ive had over the past 3 years is unbelievable and I'm just glad I'm not the only one who finds them totally rubbish now. The staff get on as if they are the doctors, wanting to know the reason ur wanting to see a doctor. Telling you when to ring. Even when you've been in to see the doctor and the doctor wants you to ring back in 2 weeks so he can have an update on your health issue, when you ring back the receptionist tells you you've to ring back during the call back times. Even when you explain that the doctor requested you to ring back it still falls on deaf ears. So needless to say my doctor never got his update.
