What a stunning place. We stayed for 4 nights and there was 13 of us. Plenty of room for all. We stayed in the house with a hot tub and large garden for the kids to play in. It was a LUXURY stay at such an affordable price for all of us. The staff were simply amazing, so friendly and welcoming and made our stay even more enjoyable. There was a utility room which included a washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing board with iron, which came in handy especially having children with us. The bath upstairs was the centre peace. Again, luxurious. The whole place was pristine clean and we all loved our stay and didn’t want to leave. Outside there is a bar and the prices are cheap! There is also play equipment for children, a football pitch and trampolines. They even inflated the bouncy castle for the kids. The only downfall which isn’t really an issue, but might be for younger people obsessed with phone, unfortunately WiFi wouldn’t connect due to poor signal but again this isn’t a huge issue. Overall we absolutely loved our stay, so much and would love to come back again!
Myself and hubby had a great 4 days stay, lodge was lovely and clean, hot tub was well maintained, staff was absolutely top notch made you feel very welcome, definitely be heading there again
Stayed over Easter weekend while son was orienteering. Location is closed enough to motorway to help the journey. Only 4 adults which was ideal for the 6 birth as there was only 2 sofas. Hot tub was great, but water wasn't the cleanest. Found a piece of glass in it, but it would have been difficult for staff to have seen it.nJodie was great supplying equipment we needed.nA few bits of the furniture were pealing, but kitchen had good oven, microwave, toaster kettle, dishwasher washing machine and large fridge freezer.nBig clubhouse with sports on large TV.nWould recommend
Brilliant, place was spot on, everyone went above and beyond for us, nothing was a problem for them. Real genuine place and people. Great value for money. They even went out to fetch us a battery charger for our radio. Top top people and place. We’ll be back for sure. Thanks Colliery lodges
After visiting for the bank holiday weekend which was funded for my disabled son I am so disgusted and disappointed in this place that was advertised as bespoke and safe, the kitchen cupboards and inside dinner table was damaged, the internal doors was filthy, mould was covering the whole shower area and the hot tub was nothing but chlorine, then chlorine was so strong that all our eyes was burning after 3 minutes of being near it, my son has left this place really poorly today. The boiler was broken upon arrival and the outside table was so dangerous and broken it was unable.
