We took our elderly cat into Cogges Vets for a health check because she was out of sorts. She was diagnosed with a thyroid problem and was soon back to her happy self. Sadly, at the age of 20, her health deteriorated irreparably and we had to say goodbye. Sarah took us through the process and was very kind and gentle to our cat, which helped us enormously. Thank you Cogges and especially Sarah.
Took Kaleesi in for her yearly booster and health check. Vet was very efficient and gave us some much needed advice on weight management. Thank you Cogges!
We have been with Cogges for many years, their end of life care/process with our previous pup was full of care and understanding and made that time so much ‘easier’ to process.nWe are currently in the aftermath of our spaniel recovering from emergency surgery and they have been outstanding. They have been unbelievably helpful and have gone above and beyond for our boy. From the multiple emergency appointments in the lead up to the surgery, the surgery itself and the aftercare we have received so far we have been so grateful to them. It’s made an awful experience so much more manageable.nWe aren’t out of the woods yet but we have the upmost confidence in their care of our boy.nThank you so much to all of the lovely team at Cogges, with an extra thank you to Sarah and Simeon who really have gone above and beyond
A month ago my kitten sadly passed away as she was hit by a van. We found out a day after the incident, as a neighbor told us our cat was taken to Cogges Vet. Not only we had to get informed about this by the neighbor instead of getting a call when they got our cat in, but when we called the day after, they said that wasn't our cat, the details didn't match got our hopes up. After us insisting to double check, they asked for the microchip number and realized that it was in fact our cat, and that there had been a mistake on their side. We asked for the ashes and were never told how long this would take. So on the 11th of October we called to check on the status of this, and the lady on the phone said she would have to give us a call back because there was nothing on the system for my cats ashes. She then calls back and says they will be ready in a week. It's been a month, and only now we get a call saying they're ready for collection. They charge £220 because 'the cat gets cremated by herself in the oven and that's why is expensive' however, they take a month to get this done. Suspicious. Obviously would be getting someone else's cat ashes along with my cat's. There has been lack of communication around such a painful situation. It's been handled poorly, and we didn't even get notified that our cat was dead to begin with. Not what you want to be dealing with while grieving. Would give -5 starts if I could.
Excellent service. Thank you so much for looking after my cat for the past 14 years.
