This place was an old family favourite, but not any more. Firstly the male serving us acted like he couldn't be bothered, then he got our order wrong 3 times. Didn't tell us about the extra charges didn't listen to dietary requests an then when corrected part of meal removed which we'd paid for. I can't eat tomatoes as they make me seriously ill which I stated 3 times so when my chicken burger came out with tomatoes and ketchup it was ridiculous. After asking for it to be sorted, I got a bap with more mayo not big fan, can cope with small amounts in sandwich's etc on it than the chicken burger itself an all salad removed. lettuce is not tomatoe By this time, after having drinks arrive incorrect to I'd had enough so wiped the mayo off with a napkin an ate. Never again though, even my daughter didn't eat hers.
This local cafe is lovely and friendly. There are plenty of tables and the food has always been very good. The only down sides are you can only pay with cash, and there are only 2 high chairs! I really struggled trying to feed my daughter and myself on my own when both high chairs were in use. Otherwise it's great and my first choice to go to eat.
The coffee pot is a very lovely and clean place to eat, which a really nice calm Atmosphere, staff are friendly, polite and welcoming this is why I gave 3 stars for my review. The down side to this place is that I feel they are an very expensive place to eat I had an cheese and ham toastie which when I was served this it came with a very small pot of ready made coleslaw and the most tiniest amount salad and this cost £5.99 which I personal felt was over priced for what I was served
The Coffee pot has been my go to place for years when going for a breakfast or just a pot of my favourite peppermint tea. The service is ALWAYS friendly and those same friendly faces have been there for years too which goes to prove..if you're happy in your work you stay with it. My only critique and it's a very small one...the decor could do with a refresh. Great value for money too!
I have been going to The Coffee Pot since I was a child growing up in Devon and even now that I live in Wales it is still my go to place to meet up with family and friends when I'm in the area. You can expect a queue which will filter through quite quickly. Food is stunning and really good value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful and don't forget to take plenty of cash with you as there is no card machine here.
Love it in here. Very big. Bare in mind that you aren't going to get expensive gourmet food here. But what you will get is cooked to order proper food. Large menu and great selection of cakes ect. We stop in here every time we go shopping in exeter. A proper British cafe. All the staff are great too and we are always made to feel welcome at all times.
A great little place that seems a little off the beaten track which makes it nice and quiet but it is actually right in the centre with nice views and pretty reasonable food on offer. It is not modern but it is clean and welcoming and offers what you expect from a general cafe. They only take cash which hopefully does not put people off. I much prefer coming here than going to a giant, faceless multinational company!
Love this place. Classic English cafe serving all manor of good grub and thirst quenching drink. The staff are lovely the food is a good portion size, good quality and good value. My favourite Exeter cafe.
Great value, tasty cakes, but place is a bit of a time warp from the 1970s. Not knocking it, it's a classic British old fashioned establishment, with friendly service. In a world of Costa and Starbucks, this is the sort of coffee shop your nan would remember, but much better value for it!
came here for the first time on Sunday morning with my partner. the woman serving us was clearly in a terrible mood, not even uttering a word as we made our order. we took a seat and saw her ddo the same with other customers. she brought over a cup of tea, placed it on the table and walked away without a word, or even a smile. besides the service, the food was average, but considering the price I can't complain. decor was very outdated and didn't feel particularly clean.
