My first ever one star. Rude, rude, rude. To the point where I was made to feel like a fool, for no good reason. I will not be going back, nor would I advise you to. Looks like I'm not the first Local Guide to comment on this attitude.
Some of the best coffee around. They pick the best ingredients and really know what they’re doing to prepare it. Owner is super friendly: my first ever cup was even accompanied by tasting notes. They also serve bottled juices and some pastries and cakes. There are a few seats inside but mainly they’re all about take away. Great place and now part of my daily commute!
One of the best independent cafés in London - hands down best coffee I've ever had an Australian confirming a good flat white here!. These people are passionate about coffee so if you ask a question as I did, be prepared for the full low down on achieving this great cup
I lived in Battersea for many years and always appreciated the unmanned Queenstown Rd station many a time I walked past, without noticing this lovely little gaff that lay inside it seems. The walls seem the same as they would have when the station was first built, lovely off-white and green walls and the smell of the train tracks and then you walk into Coffee Affair: For myself this is what I look for in any place I'll sip my coffee, they offer a variety of beans from the brilliant round hill roastery and methods of extraction. I'm not a milk and sugar type since a mate introduced me to the potentials of coffee extraction years past and it is for this reason I love the many places like Coffee Affair who will celebrate this. But the reason I gave this 5 stars is not just the great coffee which I took away a bag of but the owner, she engaged me and the missus in genuine conversation which transcended the usual hospitality pleasantries, showed passion for her work and made us feel very welcome indeed, . I think anyone who wants to go and sit down and discover it should give it a chance and if you're a coffee lover you'll feel all the better for it.
One of the best coffees I've had in London. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff and you can tell they have such a passion for what they do. Far better than any of the rubbish high street chains!
Owner's reverence for coffee shows in the products but unfortunately, also creates a starchy, officious customer experience, e.g. An unwanted lecture on how I'm drinking coffee wrong, or getting a Paddington stare for accidentally putting coins down in the wrong place. Great coffee for when you have 5-10 minutes and some cash cards get a surcharge but I can't handle condescension during rush hour.
Ordered a filter coffee - asked for milk and they refused to add it on account of it ruining the flavour. It's up to me as the paying customer to decide how I would prefer my coffee - they can certainly offer a suggestion but to refuse point blank to carry out a reasonable request is embarrassing and objectionable. But since I don't have to suffer people's pretentions, I voted with my feet and went to a more inclusive, friendly place at Clapham Junction.
Sometimes I stop there on my way to work. Very convenient location for me and one of the best coffee shops I have tried so far. And the staff are just great! Brightens up my morning :
My favourite coffee shop by far!!! Mags definitely knows how to brew the prefect cuppa! This is where coffee lovers should definitely visit, cheaper than Monmouth and better dare i say!
Stopped by before catching my train, what a nice surprise! Great coffee, served by knowledgeable and friendly staff. I recommend dropping in for a coffee if your passing by!
