Soft and fluffy mashed potatoes, realy complimented the pie which was salted at just the right amount and seemed to have a hint of spice, although barely noticeable so not overwhelming. The sauce tasted leafy which I liked. Very filling and quite cheap for what you get. Travelled far to try it, but hopefully I get another chance to go.
Pies and mash, innit. FYI, “cup of liquor” is some type of starchy parsley sauce and it’s a nice way to add a twist to this classic dish.
As simple as it gets. Food is made nice and hot. Tasty and affordable.
Excellent pie and mash. Pies were very filling and generous serving of liquor. Piping hot. Staff were very friendly, place was clean. Cash only when I visited
Generous portions. Lovely filled to brim pies. Smooth mash. One of Londons best.
Extremely delicious, clean and run by a family. It’s one of the rare places that offers the real traditional dishes !
Absolutely beautiful pie mash and liquor I rate it number one in London I went after 28 years hasn't changed a bit still as good as ever
Absolutely delicious, staff friendly, visit this place maybe 3/4 times a year, travel to Portobello for pie and mash, never disappointed
Pie & Mash at its best. Friendly staff and a busy cafe while I was there. The food itself was as expected. Will visit again.
Great, inexpensive pie and mash! I thought I was not going to like the liquor because I don’t like parsley but it was delicious.
