Called in Sunday to book a table for the next day to be told they had a private event on but could fit us in later on Sunday if we wished. Perfect! We walked up from the campsite nearby, family of 4 2 children aged 12 - and 9 My eldest had a mini roast and also catered for my incredibly picky husband and youngest son. Everything was absolutely spot on! Starters were delicious especially the soup of the day!! and the beef dinner is one of the nicest Sunday dinners I’ve had in a long time and couldn’t fault it at all. The staff were really friendly and offered recommendations for wine too. The bar looks very smart and the restaurant really nicely done out with plenty of space. Will return if we come back to the campsite as we live 3 hours away. Highly recommend!!
We stayed here after a day at Cheshire Oaks on route to Oxford. This is beautiful pub with Courtyard rooms. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The staff were so friendly and attentive without being too much. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant both great quality and a lovely menu. Highly recommend here.
Great pub in a lovely location, easy to get to with lots of parking. Food was lovely and and the service was excellent. Nice bar area and a good size eating area for us all. Would definitely return and recommend to others.Food: 5/5
Superb customer service, the staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to make the whole experience enjoyable and relaxing. The food was delicious and the setting is equally as impressive. Would highly recommend for both a quick bite or a special occasion.
We booked a birthday meal for 19 people at quite short notice. We were accommodated on 3 separate tables and had to choose our food a couple of days in advance which was fine. My meal chicken came different to how I expected and my main issue was that I found it over salty. I regretted not choosing the fish & chips which everyone agreed was really, really good. Apart from the food, the staff were excellent and the rooms were really lovely. Breakfast was also a 10/10. We'll definitely return - but I'll order the fish and chips!
Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Staying here for a week and ive had Sophie as our server every night. She was been engaging, polite and attentive. Ill be back for sure.Food: 5/5
Probably the best sirloin steak in years. Sirloin is never by first choice cut. However this one re wrote my preconceptions of sirloin. Bursting with flavour. The tomato was not the low rank pink sour affair , that some serve up , but a deep red, sweet and herbed affair. Chips spot on. Blue cheese sauce perfect level that did not take the back of throat off or need you wanting more flavour. Oh and the service , beer and wine was excellent. Vegetarian options: They were so tempting even for a carnivore.
Amazing place! If you are in North Wales, you have to drop by this place. The staff were very warm and welcoming and the food was just amazingFood: 5/5
Surprisingly food was disappointing after nice meals in the past. Garlic flatbread dry/no taste. Seasonable veg were like hard fossils clearly reheated from Sunday lunch many hours earlier. No flavour generally. First area we sat in was cold so had to move. Needed reminders to bring drinks out after head restaurant woman sent us away from bar saying they bring drinks to diners then did nothing for 15 mins. Sent wrong bill too for twice what it should have been which is was an honest mistake tbf. But it’s clear the place isn’t what it was. Staff were friendly but I won’t be going back after dining here for years on and off. Spoke to someone else who said they had disappointing meal same day so it’s not a one off. Shame
We made quite a last minute booking for a family of 6 adults, excellent service, superb tasty food, excellent choice on vegan menu too. Thank you we will return. Vegetarian options: Separate vegan menu with plenty to choose from. Staff knowledgeable about different food on the menu. Parking: Large car park with disabled spaces.. Seating areas outside. Wheelchair accessibility: Step free access, double doors if you need wide access.
