The Cobella Story...

Anestis Cobella's creative vision and proactive approach to hairdressing has driven the Cobella organisation and pushed the barriers of innovation in the industry for over 20 years.

The Cobella dynasty began back in the seventies with Anestis creating hairdressing expertise in top London salons. He went on the travel the world teaching techniques and writing influential books on creative yet wearable hair styling Cobella became one of the most respected in the hair industry winning numerous awards over the years including two prestigious British Hairdresser of the Year titles.

In 1999 Anestis brought the day spa salon concept to the UK with the opening of Cobella Akqa in Kensington High Street. He and his team of experts developed revolutionary new oxygen treatments, pioneering beauty treatments and world class hair styling under one roof.

The Cobella Collection, the popular hair care and styling range, was developed in 2003. This enduring collection is still popular and the unique marine complex contained in the formulations enjoyed by top beauty PR’s and writers.

Cobella at Selfridges opened its doors in May 2004 and in 2012 this hair and beauty emporium sits alongside the Kensington High Street salon as a mecca for accessible innovation and style. The friendly, passionate and unpretentious Cobella style is loved by workers of London and celebrities alike.
