A very clean Coop, has everything you need for daily life, food, fruits, vegetables, ready meals, fresh meats, drinks juice, pop, alcohol sweets / cakes / treats / biscuits, cereals, fresh breads, sandwich meal deals, frozen food, toiletries, meds, cigarettes, Costa coffee machine, ice cream, flowers / plants, seasonal stuffs & a lot more. Staff was polite at the til. There are traditional check out and self check out with card payment only. Free parking, including disabled parking spaces. I can’t see any time limit. Good location in the village, on the Main Street and closes to all other shops and food places.
It's decent and most the workers are nice but one of them is really stuck up. To the black haired girl who served me a while back I hope both sides of your pillow are warm you nincompoop.
Not sure how people can slate out little coop. They’ve been amazing during the lock down and pandemic. What people forget is that this shop Ian used by several villages and can get busy. Staff always friendly and polite.
Your average coop, generally has what u need. The price are a little high but to be expected in a little village. Store is really clean and tidy and access is good. The in-store bakery is great with fresh pastry's and bread. Parking is sufficient for the size of the store and village too. The staff in-store are all friendly and for the most part service is fast too.
A convenient location. It's a pity the staff have not been trained appropriately. They are ignorant and have very little customer service skills. Even the duty manager Jess, couldn't even extract a hello, please or thank you out of her. Save for the fact that this store is convenient, i wouldn't bother going.
Came for some dank munch, bird behind the counter was wrinkled yet decent. Cookies where rags tho and they felt like I was eating a brick. My nana said they where dryer than a nuns private parts too, now we’ve had to fork out for some new teeth for her. Poor girl
Nice little supermarket in Markfield village. Useful for small shopping trips. Great opening hours--open late most days. Has a free cash point outside. Not as cheap as larger supermarkets.
Friendly staff and always happy to help. What surprises me however is how all co-ops survive cause of the cost of their commodities. Do you get your stock from a different supplier?
Very helpful for university students near by. Markfield Institute of Higher Education MIHE is a small but unique religious, theology chaplaincy and finance learning centre. This Co-Op is regularly used by students , tutors and even sometimes visitors.
Their, and the vast majority of citizens of Markfield and surrounding villages, to the Covid processes set in place by the Coop management have been excellent.
