I attended a guided tour of Beaumanor Hall today. Victoria was very informative and knowledgeable of the history of the building. Lots of original features still remain which is amazing even although it was used during the war and up to the point when purchased by Leicestershire County Council
We went for the Bank holiday craft fair, which was nice. Plenty of stalls both inside and outside selling their wares. The hall itself is very picturesque with stunning architecture and stained glass windows. Built in the early Victorian period and was then commandeered in world war II as a listening post with the information being relayed to Bletchley park. Bought by the County council in the early 70's for use as an education centre. The grounds are nice and is used as a wedding venue. Worth a visit for a couple of hours and maybe tie in a visit of the Great Western Railway just up the road at Quorn watching the steam trains chugging through.
Lovely grounds and beautiful Hall, relaxing day out visiting classic car show
Really enjoyed the Christmas Fair. And really impressed with the Hall.
Nice enough place went to a christmas fair but wasnt the best previous years was better more for children to do apart from buying off stalls. Few stalls with decent price but the majority i am not sure if they are over priced or because they are made locally the time spent on creating something needed to be justified 6.50 a hot dog no thanks, 20 for a box of 3 minis whiskeys or port the ones you would get out of a mini bar in a hotel nit worth it.
Here as a stallholder, brilliant venue with lots of parking
A great venue for the annual Christmas fayre. An amazing setting, amazing building and fabulous staff. A wonderful selection of festive stalls and lovely music and refreshments.
Extremely beautiful place, the wooden carvings are so beautiful and the stain glass windows. We went to the Xmas fair and there was lots of craft stall holders. Great time had by my family and l
Good residential trip destination for school kids. So many different outdoor activities for kids and they can have fun full days while they are on their trip. Good food service, good staff and very helpful by all means
I recently photographed the wedding of Sarah & Gareth Bowman at this amazing venue. I arrived ahead of time to scout the location for suitable backdrops for the day;s photography, and the moment i pulled up into the driveway i was impressed at the splendor of the magnificent building. The staff were super helpful and went out of their way to help me and i was made to feel at home the minute I walked through the front door. The interior is amazing and I was immediately struck by the fantastic stairway with its stained glass window. The rooms allocated to the bridal party were very spacious and immaculate, everything was so well laid out super clean and tidy. The actual room where the wedding took place was lovely with the sun pouring in through the very large bay window, and the service was just wonderful. As we all decamped outside into the hot sunshine the staff were on hand serving canapes they were polite and nothing was to much trouble making the day highly enjoyable for all concerned. The wedding breakfast was an amazing experience, the food was first class delivered by waiters that wouldn't be out of place in a 5 star restaurant. The evenings entertainment was equally brilliant the staff again going out of their way to be super helpful they even lent me their projector as mine had decided to throw a wobbly so the guests got to see a sneak preview of the days photography which went down a storm. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed my day at this amazing place, I was sorry to leave and I would highly recommend this venue to anyone wanting to tie the knot in style!
