A decent selection of produce and a well laid out shop. Great customer service, free parking.nnIt took me a while to find the shelf with Welsh ale, but there was plenty to choose from. I'm now in front of the TV working through my beer haul. Cheers
Visited the co op on couple of Occasion as I'm on holiday here. Just remember it shuts at 4pm on a Sunday no 24 hr shopping here like big towns and cities and rightly so! but shop opens at 7am most days so handy for breakfast items etc. Isles are big small so difficult to social distance. Masks advisable as an enclosed space not that some cared the car park is a good size and I noticed couple of camper vans parked Up without issues.nJust remember it is for short time only whilst your shopping and no overnight camper van allowed. Some of the aisles were empty due to shortages / deliveries. Usual selection of household Goods, food and drink and magazines etc. Ideal if your on holiday in the local area. Free Cash machine on site and don't forget To checkout the sales cart for some bargains.
Great store, has all the necessities a village needs. 4 star food hygeine rating.nStaff seem friendly, prices are higher than expected.nBig issue people stood begging in the car park can be annoying on a daily visit asking you to purchase a magazine when you purchased one a few days before.nCar parking is adequate. You will require a pound coin for a trolley, the big issue seller will offer to return the trolley for you at the cost of the £1 inside.
first time I ordered online on a bottle of Irish whiskey before that I ask a male cashier very polite and well manner staff if I am allow to collect it straight as it was near 6 pm after the collection slot. The front cashier called the office and said yes I could collect it as it was not many customer there so after I paid it on paypay and waiting for the whiskey an offercer probably the manager walked out with the whiskey wrapped in a paper bag told me he can't release the item to me as the system said collection only on tomorrow. That was very red tape bureaucracy I Saïd I asked if collection on today is allowed before I place the order online but The manager insist I can only come back tomorrow and collect it!!? so I said to him I understand is your duty on the protocol but please give the item to me now as is already paid and you are holding on your hand my ready packed item there is no reason to only allow me to collect it tomorrow !somehow the manager release it to me. second time I order online again this time so the third time I went back to coop trying to use their customer Internet connection to search and download the apps as I applied for those coop membership but the apps was not working so I waited in the supermarket for the download as outside was raining. suddenly a coop male staff approached me very rude saying to me this is not a cafe you should go outside and do Internet roaming not here.!!? How dare you said this to the customer ,! so I got no choice but shouted at him as he was rude he finally walked off from me. coop pls check the Incident on the video action should be taken against this rudely staff and hope what is happening to Wilko do not repeat here
Over priced! Understocked! Understaffed! Gloomy!nIt is definitely not the best supermarket, but unfortunately as it's the only supermarket in Fishguard, you are kind of stuck with shopping there, unless you go to the Tesco in Goodwick or further afield.nInstore is dimly lit with narrow aisles. Not a pleasant shopping experience.nIts not well stocked at the best of times, with huge gaps on the shelves, some of it is a current problem with the store obtaining stock, but most of it is down to poor stock management.nThis is not just problematic at this store, but same with all medium size Co-ops.nnThe manned tills are rarely open, whilst the self serve tills seem to be on a mission to take forever to scan the goods, that is, if the machines can do it without throwing a hissy fit, then there is the wait for a staff member to sort out whatever issue is causing the till tantrum. Staff on the shop floor are rare unless you count the person in the cigarette/lottery booth.nThe store is quite modern, having not long had a facelift and its clean and tidy as stores go.nThe prices are quite high in comparison to other supermarkets and the quality of produce is quite poor, whether that's the meat or fresh produce.nnOpen from 7am - 10pmnMonday - SaturdaynSunday from 10pm - 4pmnnThe car park isn't well thought through, its tight on space having had as many spaces as possible crammed into it. its adequate for the store size though as the car park is usually fairly empty. It has 6 disabled spots in front of the store. You do get 90 minutes free to park, do your shopping in store and go for a wander to do those other errands or a coffee if you need to.nDo beware of the numpties coming in to the car park that want all of the room both sides of the entrance/exit and then glare at you as if you're the problem when you are positioned correctly.nDo remember to smile sweetly at them, because it makes them wonder what you've been up to and what you're going to do about their bad driving !nnSome of the Staff seem friendly, but in no rush to help you if you require assistance.nnThere is a free ATM machine on site.
