Went in at 11am for bread and found they were busy and not had time to put out. The young man stocking shelves went into went into back and got me what I needed. Great customer service thank you. The other young man on the till friendly and packed my bag thankful.
The review complaining about the aisle is a little exaggerated; most small shops have to maximise profitability by stocking as much as possible - if they didn't people would go elsewhere - and this Co-Op is no different. It's perfectly traversable, stocks all the basics and then some, and they do a great 10% discount for students too. Staff are always friendly and it's open until 10pm which is great if you work late.
Small but friendly Co-op. Staff good and availability of product range is good. Nice fresh bakery goods too. Self service tills at end of store of there is a queue at the tills.
Poor customer service went intto store bought items went to checkout staff were chatting to each other but to opposite sides of the store. Never acknowledged me at all, never spoke to me then when i gave a note and the odd pence i got the odd pence back with the rest of my change. The odd pence was to save his change but he gave me my change all in bits instead of a note of which he had in his till. He was very rude and its not the first time they have been rude.as an ex employee for the co-op they need to look at saying money and help reduce store costs well getting rid of staff like this will defo help. Very disappointed.
It's a well stocked village store with good service. Amazon click'n'collect available here.
The Hunmanby CO-OP has been done up and in all fairness I do like how it looks, However, that is ware it stops!!! when customers need to take it in turn to breath out because there just is no thought to customer comfort then it's not good. If a customer stops to look at an item then the rest of the customers have to stand around twiddling there thumbs because there is not the room to pass and if you want to go back down an isle and there is someone stopped looking you need to go all around the shop just to get 2 or 3 feet from your starting place. prams, shopping trolleys, or even wheelchairs should not be allowed and anyone above 3 stone should be banned from this shop so as to make it possible for other shoppers. or better still, go to a shop that wants you to shop there. Hunmanby CO-OP does not want customers, your money yes, but not you the customer. My advice to you, SHOP ELSEWHERE. a lot of local people are doing, CO-OP ship up or close down.
The shop is never open at correct times, closed many times a day and the staff are totally unhelpful. Considering this is the main convenience shop in the village, it's extremely inconvenient!
Simply terrible. Rude staff. Screens on checkout blocked making them unable. Avoid like the plague. No cv19 rules followed by the staff.
Hunmanby village Coop + well stocked + Open every day 7am-8pm +Costa machine inside - parking is a problem most of the day - slightly on the expensive side - check out with large volumes not comfortable
I like that small store
