Store has recently undergone a complete refit, the range has massively increased; the store is better laid out and much clean/tidier. Happy to use this as my local
Use to have fresh bakery, bread and pastries, but they stopped it so we go to another local shop now.
Just popped in quickly to grab a sandwich. First visit, so didn't know where things were. Staff incredibly helpful and sandwich great. Great fun watching the robot delivery service whizzing by.
Before refurbishment a great local resource, subsequently with different staff and how the changes show for the worse. Now run for the benefit of the staff not the customer. Will not put bags on the self-service tills as they say that customers make them too messy. Staff park their own cars in the customer spaces all day. Rarely is anybody actually able to help within a reasonable time frame. I now travel further to the branch at Kingsmead who are an example of great customer service.
On my visit on 27th May 2023 some of the staff was extremely rude. Making inappropriate suggestions, then turning back on me after I pointed it out. Co-op was let down by this employee. It's sad that one rogue person can make so lasting negative impression on the whole company.
