A very clean and well run store with a good selection, including gluten free, which comes in handy for when my son & his partner visit. More choice than Tesco over the road. The staff are very helpful and there is always a friendly greeting from Nicola.
As soon as I walk into this Coop pronounced coop as in hen coop LOL I hear the tinkling ivories of the theme tune to the American 1980s TV show Cheers — sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name This is because the staff are so friendly and helpful — Nicola, Yvonne and The Jaynes to namecheck just a few. The staff offer a kind of customer care where giving you the shirt off their back is just part of the service, especially noticeable in this the Age of Corona. Their own brand of kid’s nappies are utterly adorable, even though they are quite a lot more expensive than ALDI £4 for 27 versus £5 for 72. The sometimes higher prices for more stylish and classier products make me feel like I am shopping in a down-to-earth Waitrose. Thank you for helping to keep a reassuring food and drink supply going in the village during these tumultuous times. I might even become a member this year
Good opening hours I do miss the little one at the bottom of the village, good range of stock and generally pleasant and helpful staff. One bug bear - the self service tills keep irritatingly stopping for no good reason requiring staff intervention. A constructive comment if the manager reads reviews - please enforce disabled parking, there are always cars without badges there when I visit.
Used to go all the time when i was younger has had a big change around in recent years. A nice shop
Great place to shop, but a bit more expensive that your supermarket's worth paying that bit extra the staff are brilliant and very friendly would highly recommend
Needed a fork for my pasta as it didn't provide one with it, woman kindly searched about the break room to find one for me so I didn't have to buy a multipack. Very helpful
Lovely store great selection of gluten free well laid out shop clean and tidy staff pleasant and helpful
Asked to look at the cigarettes I had ordered only to have a uncomfortable standoff with a muture member of staff myself being 52years off age and a patron regular for the past three years.
