Been to this club twice, bouncers are very aggressive and actively look to cause problems with its customers. Went there yesterday, and was followed by a bouncer the whole night. Went to the restroom, came out and was told I had to leave because I had thrown up which I hadn't and was too drunk to know what I was talking about. He was physically aggressive and threatened to throw me out without my coat and belongings. Just stay away from this place..
This establishment feels it is with in its rights for its employed security staff to attack customers / members of the public. For quite literally pouring a distance of less then 1 meter away from their allocated table / booth. Which is ridiculous anyway. I have just had the worst night of my life attending this venue. People were arrested because of this altercation. Please be aware do yourselves a favour do not attend this club!! You may not be lucky. the security are aggressive and will attack anyone and anybody with force for very insignificant trivial reasons. Even if you think you are a upstanding citizen. Stay away. just go somewhere else.
It was OK. Not the best club I have been too but not the worst either. £10 entry and the staff were nice. It is mostly full of 18 -21 year olds. I mostly saw people from my primary and secondary school it was like a school reunion. The drinks were reasonable. A brandy and coke is £4.75 for a single. The disappointment was that the DJ always played the song until the end and he never played DJ Khaled - Wild Thoughts. I would only go here as a last minute plan.
We went there last Saturday. So many people where saying “go there nice club” What we found when we arrived that to get into club was smooth and professional. When w came about 11pm the club was almost empty. Music wasn't our favorite however still can have fun. The worst think about the club ida that staff behind a bar try to cheat on the stuff you buying. We have ordered 4 double vodka redbull it was one of another orders and we did not put attention on the other before however when my friend ask the girl behind the bar - why you give us cheap energy drink instead of original redbull when we paying almost 30quids for it she said to my friend that is a red bull But it was one of the cheapest you can buy on the market like best-in brand. So we called manager named Chris and he also wasn't so nice to us he said to me I am to laud and shouldn't talk like that of course i was loud- music was playing so should i whisper to him????? No matter after conversation which wasn't on professional way finally they served right drink. In my opinion it shouldn't look like this if you pay for entrance and you pay pretty much for drink so you expect what you paying for. So people look what they serve to you.
A great experience from the moment I arrived at the venue, after being greeted by the hostess at the front door to the moment when the bottles came over with sparklers and a confetti cannon which made me and my mates feel special. Great value for money, music we love and will definitely book a VIP Table again.
this review is for the staff, the guy you pay with is always lovely and has good conversation, Rachel one of the sercurity guards is an amazing lady, who helps anyone she can! She helped me and my friend last night when we had an issue with one of the boys there, all the staff were lovely and helpful and really made the atmosphere great!
Club 88 is the best club south of the river with an amazing bar team. I booked a table there for a friends birthday, I was sat at the table within minutes of getting to the club and my drinks were there in no time, they made me feel very important. We will definitely be retuning.
I would not recommend this club to anyone, people behind the bar are grumpy, I paid £200 on VIP then probably another £200 on top, random people were somehow allowed to come into the VIP section when I paid to reserve it, they accuse you of doing drugs when your in the toilet and kick you out because your in the toilet for a while, throwing up that is, then to top it off, the bouncers are the most arrogant, abusive and accusing you of doing drugs when all you are guilty for is trying to have a good time and being sick in the toilet. I would recommend to you all to not go here, go somewhere where they treat everyone with some respect and because of this generation that go clubbing want to do more than drinking 'drugs', they throw accusations at anyone that so called 'looks a little suspicious' because they have had a bit to drink and be a little sick. Oh and before you hire bouncers at your club, make sure you hire ones that don't do drugs themselves and throw innocent people out for no reason.
My and my boys were turned away because apparently "unless you're bringing a girl in we ain't letting you in." We queued for 20 minutes just to get turned away because we didn't have no girls with us.... What??? We come here all the time and we've gotten in without any problems, always enjoyed ourselves, pretty much consider ourselves regulars here. But tonight this one particular bouncer didn't want to let us in because we had no girls with us. Like what the hell man?? If you're reading this, play it safe and go to Luna or Dice instead. Least they won't turn you away simply for being a man. I can't believe I even have to write this. Disgraceful.
5 star + rating! Club 88 Degrees is the best night club within the Surrey and Kent borders. Love this venue to the bone! Amazing night club! Funktion One Sound System is class. Security, bar staff, cloakroom attendants, and management team are very friendly. All the staff make you feel welcomed, encourage you to have fun and always have a smile on their faces. Top established DJs, MCs, producers and recording artists perform at this night club on a regular basis. They also hold special theme nights. There is a vast array of music on any particular night. I really enjoy when they play Garage, House, R&B, Hip Hop, Soul and Bass. The atmosphere is buzzing and lively. The club boasts very nice decor and strobe lighting effects. This night club is ideal for group booking events such as anniversaries, reunions, birthdays, stag parties and hen parties. Lots of space to dance and chill in the comfortable environment. The drinks are reasonably priced. The cocktails and mocktails are first-class. Highly recommend this night club if you want to have a laugh or just dance the entire night away. A special thank you to Louise, Chris and Scott for making every weekend over the last 7 months a brilliant night at the club. Keep it up Team 88.
