I spend 5 days a week at the studio after work and on weekends! It is hands down my favourite place to be in my spare time! All the teachers are amazing and some are now some of my closest friends! I have made the bestest friends at the studio through doing classes and couldn’t imagine a better place to keep fit and to be social! Genuinely never felt more looked after and included anywhere else! Cannot say a bad word about the studio or the teachers, each class is always so much fun, always to the right level and I always receive as much guidance as I need! Cloud has also given me the confidence to perform aerial at their showcases because everyone is so encouraging and supportive! NEVER BEEN SO STRONG IN MY LIFE!
I love Cloud! I've been attending various classes for two years and continue to look forward to many more in the future. The staff and students make Cloud such a warm, inspiring and fun place to be, whichever aerial adventure you choose!
I have recently moved to Manchester for a highly stressful job and Cloud Aerial Arts has become my safe space. All of the teachers and staff are so nice and encouraging, and they work well with a variety of skills. Whether you are looking for fitness, fun, new friends, a break from reality or all of the above I would highly recommend.
Had the best time here on a hen do. Luanne put together a fun pole routine for us that was suitable for a variety of ages. After pole, Kit showed us the 'ropes' of ariel yoga. It was the first time for a lot of us and ended up being a big talking point for the rest of the weekend. We all had such an amazing time learning this new skill. Thanks to all the staff for making the weekend really special.
I may be somewhat biased, but I came to Cloud as a student back in 2016. Since then it has grown in scale and scope but still kept that welcoming, friendly atmosphere. I have since turned instructor for Cloud and feel so supported by the whole team and really love to see how the students support each other too. The best decision I ever made was buying that Groupon in 2016. Its changed my life completely.
Both spaces are so friendly and welcoming and have enjoyed all the classes and teachers so far I was a nervous beginner but the teachers are AMAZING at making you feel safe, supported and most importantly having fun. I also appreciate the cleanliness, hand sanitisers everywhere, shoes off etc. The only, teeny, tiny thing I struggled with was, if you do a class in the Rig Room, there will be multiple classes on, so be ready for that.... I was super distracted by all the amazing things going on and struggled to concentrate, but that's more of a 'me thing' than the studios fault.
I had no prior experience to anything I currently do at Cloud Aerial Arts, but there's a entry level class for absolutely every discipline. The coaches all work very closely with you when needed, the classes are dynamic and push to you your limit and I have fun every single class. I eventually would love to try everything, but for now, I just stick with the two I'm currently doing.
Staff seem very "hands off" unless you have the personality of a stereotypical drama student outgoing and luvvy. It can be difficult to figure out what you're meant to be doing if you're more introverted, especially in bigger classes. The rooms aren't really designed for full visibility and it's hard to properly see demonstrations at times which really isn't great when tutors don't have time to come round and check on everyone/are busy with advanced groups/are busy going through the routine. Staff are definitely friendly but they don't really come across as professional tutors/teachers. I did a stretching course and genuinely ended up more stiff than when I started! Also the booking app for booking classes is rubbish, better to do it on the website when it's working. After reading positive reviews I had been really eager and excited to give classes a go but I've ended up feeling really disheartened by it all. EDIT: After receiving a response from the person in charge, I've decided to clarify what I mean by "not professional". I've been a teaching assistant with classes of all ages, helping with academic studies as well as helping to teach martial arts classes, so I understand when a teacher is being "professional". In my opinion, professional teachers: consider the environment they're teaching in - if people at the back can't see, they would come over and either demonstrate the movement again or would stand in an area more visible to everyone rather than sitting on the floor at one end of a small, narrow room with no mirror and expect people to follow along while they're meant to be looking at the floor or wall, for example. Professional teachers would go over things with people who asked for help DURING the lesson rather than leaving them bewildered and trying to figure out with the person next to them what the tutor had said/meant because they were too busy doing the routine themselves/the music was too loud/it was hard to see or hear. A professional instructor knows how to adapt their teaching to different clients, abilities and environments. They would be able to limit the number of students per class to the number of students they can effectively teach, rather than overcrowding. Professionals also don't consistently run late, they also regularly rotate their time between students rather than sticking with advanced people we all pay the same, after all. Being left for over half the class just...wondering what to do...isn't really the sign of a "professional" instructor in my opinion. Like I said, they're friendly and enthusiastic and they're no doubt skilled, I have nothing against them as people. But are they professional? No.
I very literally can’t praise this place enough. I’ve had lessons regularly for the past 9 months with several different classes and teachers and I’ve honestly never had a teacher there that hasn’t been wonderfully supportive, encouraging and great at what they do. My confidence was at an all time low when I started at cloud after just having a baby and I’d never done any aerial at all. However, Cloud helped me so much, not only in increasing my skill and love for aerial arts, but also served as a huge boost to my physical and emotional well-being.
Sensational! Being 38 but feeling much older I was a little worried heading down to my beginners gymnastics class... but didn't need to be. Kit the instructor was fantastic. He look the class forward with multiple different ability levels meaning you could push yourself forward if you wanted. By the end of the light I was landing forward somersaults and feeling rather chuffed with myself. The atmosphere was fun with everyone having a laugh and a good time. I'll be seeing you again very soon! Matt
