First time I’ve visited this branch of Wetherspoons. Food was a bit of a wait but nothing major. Was bought out by friendly staff member, poor lass was rushed off her feet she seemed to be the only one serving. So credit to her for still maintaining the friendly warm manner. Food was lovely got the spice bag although they were quite stingy with the onion but quite generous with the chilli. Plenty of seasoning and that was really nice. Also ordered the American cheese burger that was alright not too overcooked chips were ok. Ordered a AU blue raspberry with lemonade and a AU strawberry with monster ultra no straws/stirrers available unusual not to even have coffee stirrers. so not entirely good with the drinks as the vodka was sat at the bottom did have ice though. The service for the drinks was so slow asked a lady who was an older lady where are drinks were as we had ordered through the app and she said I don’t know I’ve just come off my break with quite a bit of attitude. We were waiting 15mins from ordering to drinks arriving It’s wasn’t particularly busy for drinks either. The same lady brought the drinks over still with attitude probably as it was hot and she was tired but no need for it. With seeing how the older lady was at service and her attitude it did seem to explain why the younger lady was rushed off her feet but she remained polite. All in all the food was good but the service was not so great.
This is a lovely pub. Me and my boyfriend come here to study sometimes we always order food and a drink which comes fast and we never have a complaint. All the tables get cleaned fast by the staff. All the staff seem really lovely and approachable. This pub gives an old man pub vibe. Lots of elderly people come here for a pint which makes the atmosphere so nice… :
A decent Spoons and there's a big stop to and from the airport just outside which makes it a perfect place to go to avoid the expensive airport drinks and food. Good selection of beer
I was impressed with the décor in this Wetherspoons, especially the tiling behind the bar. Good service and a nice pint of Chinook for £2. Lively atmosphere, and a small beer garden.nNot a big ''Spoons, but definitely worth a visit.nBus stop for Otley is just outside the pub.
My friend and I stopped in for lunch after a beautiful walk around Yeadon, once was enough!!nnI ordered the steak and ale pudding, chips and peas, which came with gravy. For some reason I was expecting a suet pastry pudding and normal gravy? NOT what I got...... it was a PIE!!! It should be named a pie on the menu, as it was pie pastry. Also, the gravy came and plopped onto the plate instead of poured...... it was onion gravy and was disgusting!! The nicest part of my meal was the peas.nnChicken bites with chips were good, although when the server brought the food, half the chips fell on the floor and instead of acknowledging it, just put the plate down and walked off.nnNot the best experience and wouldn't return to eat here.
