Story

Situated in the heart of London's historic Clerkenwell, and boasting an outdoor terrace that overlooks St. John's Square, The Bear is a contemporary bar spanning two floors and specialising in freshly prepared food with an expertly compiled wine and cocktail menu.

Our seasonal food menu is designed around our commitment to fresh produce, and our lunchtime salad bar is perfect for those short on time.

Our top floor is ideally suited to accommodating all manner of private functions and can be booked in advance via our website.

Excellent cocktails and excellent service in a stylish, unusual and still cozy atmosphere! The team take great care for the safety of their customers in this current Corona madness, and still make you forget the world outside for an hour or three. Bonus: the food is great, as well!
I stayed there for 2 hours studying and ordered a pizza, it was good! Extremely nice staff and good drinks
For a fairly expensive pizza, it’s cold and not that tasteful. Disappointed as I have been here many times and love it as a bar, but guess you don’t see anyone eating for a reason! :/
Outdoor seating area is lovely in summer and pretty in winter, decorated with lights. Not a huge selection of draught beers and ales but fine for standard cocktails and wines
Visiting the Clerkenwell & Social was my 1st pub visit post Covid. You have to sign in when you enter and you are taken to a table where you are served. All in all, a very pleasant experience
Very good! Efficient and friendly staff. DELICIOUS chips. Comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Only downsides - most seats don't have a back and the ladies' toilets only have two cubicles.
Eat out to help out scheme didn't include most of the menu This was not communicated to us/made clear. Service was poor - very slow I work near by and will not be returning......
Really nice bar was nice and quiet at about half 5 and some nice cocktails for 2-4-1. Really enjoyed it the cocktails were also really nice and well made. For the time I was there I could not fault the place. I think next time I am going to try the food out.
