Highly not recommended for piercing! Long story short… we been “advised” as the only one option we have is getting baby diamond earrings … for 4 years old girl. We tried to get other earring but obviously been told as it will be to big and not comfortable for my daughter. Also, “professionally” said as it will be “poking my daughter’s head”…well …baby earring caused her having massive whole in the ear as it was way to small and diamond was going into her ear underneath the skin. We were on holiday so had to deal with it abroad. I have returned home and we’re uncomfortable to go there and see that “amazing” people who are caused this issue so turned up at Whitley store. Unfortunately, they tried they best but there wasn’t any option other than seeing the Southampton store. Manager of the store said as I have to turn up at the store and there is no other option than exchanging earrings. She also promised over the phone as she will prepare goodie bag for my little one…guess what ! This never happened. We turned up at the store she made me exchanging earrings but service charge was still charged . Don’t you think it is absolutely ridiculous? …no goodie bag… when I wanted to purchase sweet she gifted this to my daughter for free…worth 2 GBP for causing the trauma and pain to 4 years old child ? When I turned up there and tried talk to her she was more caring about other staff member listening to us behind the shelves like “special agent” than actually been interested in what I have to say. She said that she absolutely understand…but this person doesn’t work there. It is from different store … strongly made me feeling as this washed their hands from the issue. Highly not recommended! Feels like they making money pushing people to pay for the most expensive piercing. I would recommend Whitley store as manager there and people working there are so passionate about piercing and are so kind and helpful.
I went to the Southampton store this morning to have my sons ear pierced. I also had my son with me who has autism/Learning difficulties. The staff were absolutely amazing with him whilst I was waiting and took him round the shop to have a look around. It was so refreshing to be able to go into a shop without any judgement and receive such a lovely welcome and support. I didn't get the girls names but both were amazing thankyou so much!!
Definitely better than the other two shops they had that were very small, couldn't take a pushchair in with you, or you'd knock stuff over. This new shop has a new range of things.
First Claires I've been able to comfortably get my wheelchair around. Fantastic size with lots of space to move around. Very helpful, friendly staff too
My daughter had her ears pierced for the first time. Both staff members were amazing and fully respectful to her being nervous. Expensive but money well spent! Thank you
Lost of lovely products but the layout was a little disorganised. My daughter enjoyed it though she was like a kid in a sweet shop. It's expensive for what it is, Make sure you bring plenty of money.
rude staff - had my daughters ear pieced, blonde haired lady rude and sighed alot when my daughter couldn't choose which ear-ring no communication or reassurance towards my daughter during the experience and then we were left waiting as unsure if she had finished as she walked off! too expensive and no customer service avoid!
Very disappointed in Claires even though they had some very lovely things they were ridiculously expensive, I actually found what I need in another shop for a lot less than Claire were asking for it. Sorry Claire but I feel your prices are awful would not spend my money here.
Lovely place. Had a lovely lady pierce my nose. She was very understanding of my needs and very gentle and re assuring.
Expensive £15 to sort out a ear piercing problem so I got a cheaper version Surgical Spirit, but the staff were most helpful.
