What an amazing experience!! I've been thinking about a career in aviation for a long time and the experience day was my first step as a gift from the family. My Instructor Martin was more than happy to squawk to my home area for a fly over. Once we took off it was clear to me as a new beginner there was far too much cloud and fog to fly there. We didn't know for sure until we was in the air, I saw it for myself the sky was too mucky. We had to make a quick decision where to go next but it didn't matter. I thoroughly enjoyed my airtime and I am glad I had Martin to guide me. I'd love to say it's a once in a lifetime thing but I plan on getting my license lol. I now have half a clue what the buttons and levers do to the plane which I got shown before we took off!! He made me laugh when I tapped under the wing and said how flimsy it was, he told me not to worry which I wasn't anyway. It's amazing what aviation can bring!! I am so happy I was gifted this experience and I couldn't have wished for a better instructor. ATPL is still well on the cards!! :
Received a trial flight lesson for my birthday, and I can't recommend Clacton Aero Club enough! Despite being cancelled twice due to weather which is par for the course with flying it seems!, I finally managed to get up in the air with Simon, who was an great teacher and great fun too!
Amazing experience for those who want to see the town we live in from a different perspective. Worth every penny would defo recommend

I have been using Clacton Aero Club for a number of years now and have done more hours flying than I care to remember. I don't think I'll ever get my PPL as I'm now 76! I have always found everyone most helpful and friendly and the instructors are top class. CAC has a very good reputation amongst trainees as I've hear of people coming from as far as Norfolk and Kent to carry out their training. Long may they continue!
Finally I could come to this beautiful Aerodrome. Just 8min walking distance to the beach. Nice staff and cheap landing fee 15£. Hope to come back soon.

Tried to contact them to arrange PPL lessons, they couldn’t have seemed less interested or helpful. Found somewhere else nearby that actually wanted a new student
Friendly and helpful club, great location on the edge of the sea, and easy walking into town.
My Aircraft crashed here back in 1999. I went up the next day to see.
