Removal of the after 6pm fixed rate and the ability to pre-pay has made this car park a nightmare after a concert, massive queues to pay at one of only three machines.nTo cap it off, it is now £15 when you go over 4 hours, a complete rip off.
The worst car park I've been in for getting out after an event. Went to see Frank Skinner last night and we parked in the Civic Centre multi storey. The queues to pay for parking after the show were ridiculous! There are not enough pay stations and what few machines there were some were cash only. I'm at the Civic again on Thursday and I'll be parking elsewhere.
Absolutely bloody shambles of a car park. Right opposite a large gig venue but only 2 payment machines on the lower floor. Neither of which were working. After waiting in a massive queue for nearly 30 minutes a parking attended finally came along and let us out for free. All at 11:30pm at night. DO NOT PARK HERE IF YOU'RE AT A GIG AT THE HALLS!!! I only gave 1 star as you can't leave none!!
Great location for the civic centre over the road. Lots of space and well lit. Down side is the payment machines after a show. Only downstairs accepts cards and there’s no pay via app option, so expect queues.
Stupidly small carpark. Unfit for purpose. Only 2 floors. We were guided to this car park due to a concert at the Halls. Got there an hour early and yet the car park was full! Very unexpected. Don't bother with this carpark if your expecting to park up for entertainment at the Civic. I was forced to park on yellow lines in the end and get a ticket or risk being late for the concert.
