I recently visited City St George's and was really impressed. Several university buildings are connected here so there is plenty of study space, huddle rooms and areas for group study. Classrooms and lecture theatres vary in size and type. The canteen and the cafe are nice as well with reasonable prices. Location is also suberb with the university being in the central area of the city and few tube stations nearby. Definitely recommend to visit!
I visited the university while they were on vacation, and it was well worth it despite the difficulty of getting there. The place is beautiful, and the university seems spectacular — definitely worth a visit.nP.S.: There’s a coffee machine inside the campus for just one pound.
Visited their campus recently. World class University with comprehensive student services and a range of support options offered to assist students with their academic, financial, and personal needs.
The teaching at this university is generally fine, but the administrative side is very poor. Even when students request basic things such as deadline extensions for assignments or access to their grades, delays or no response at all are common. Emails often go unanswered, and following up rarely makes a difference.nnAdministrative processes are unclear and inefficient. It is often not clear how long things will take or who is responsible, and it can be difficult to reach the administration by phone. This becomes particularly stressful when dealing with time-sensitive matters.nnAt first, I thought this might be normal for universities. However, students at Russell Group universities often report a very different experience, with much better support and quick responses to emails when they need help. This makes a real difference after enrolment. While communication tends to be quick during the admissions process, support appears to drop once fees have been paid. Whether this is due to understaffing or other internal issues is hard to say.nnAlthough these problems are not always mentioned in online reviews, many of my classmates have had similar experiences. Over time, this is likely to affect the university’s reputation.nnFor students who need to manage their schedules carefully for work or further study after returning home, or who simply want to focus on their studies without unnecessary stress, this university may not be the right choice.
The 14th International Conference on Air Compressors held at the City University St. George’s was an absolute success!
