Citi

Story

The Citigroup Centre is a building complex in London. It houses Citigroup's EMEA headquarters and is located in Canary Wharf in the city's Docklands. The centre provides of floor space across two merged buildings - 33 Canada Square (known as "CGC1") and 25 Canada Square (known as "CGC2"), and houses the bulk of Citi's UK employee base. Together, both buildings form the Citigroup Centre complex.25 Canada Square, or Citigroup Centre 2, stands at 200m and, alongside HSBC Tower (with which it was built in tandem), is the joint 4th-tallest building in the United Kingdom (behind The Shard, One Canada Square and Heron Tower). Designed by César Pelli & Associates, construction of the 45-storey tower - undertaken by Canary Wharf Contractors - began in 1998 and was completed in 2001, with Citigroup leasing the building from the outset. The building was bought by RBS in 2004 along with 5 Canada Square (leased to Bank of America) for $1.12 billion. Subsequently, on 2 July 2007, CGC2 was individually sold to a joint venture between Quinlan Private and PropInvest for £1 billion (US$2 billion). Citigroup pay £46.5 million a year in rent for the tower, generating a yield of 4.6% to the owners. The east facing side of 25 Canada Square up to level 40 is configured for use by tenants.

This mall used to be super popular but it's basically dead. The only things of importance are the pretty empty movie theater, a dollar store, and a food court which is almost always closed. You can have some fun walking around but it just isn't what it used to be.
It’s… nice. Just so empty. It would be good to spruce up the place, fill it with actual shops so they can attract good attention to the public library. Such a gorgeous place to study!
Welcome to Citi Plaza—a fantastic location nestled in downtown London, Ontario! While it's currently serene and quiet, I see immense potential here for vibrant stores and businesses to flourish. This area is eagerly awaiting the energy and buzz that investors could bring. I hope potentials can transform Citi Plaza into a bustling hub where locals and visitors alike can enjoy shopping, dining, and more. Let's make Citi Plaza the heart of downtown London! It's missing two stars...
Words cannot express how grateful I am to the cleaning staff at city plaza mall. They went way above and beyond to help me locate a very important lost item. Had the cleaning staff not been so organized and prompt on their rounds, my item definitely would have been lost permanently. With the help of management who radioed every single staff member and checked every possible location, along with jeff who has my undying gratitude - my crisis was averted
I wish more businesses were still here. However ive always had godi experiences with the Library, Subway, the shoe repair store and Dollarama. One thing I hope you guys consider is having security closer to the restroom, downtowns social crisis isn't your fault but I've had multiple experiences with people doing drugs in the restroom when I'm just trying to do my business. Maybe even just having a security guard in the bathroom wouldn't be the worst idea.
I enjoy shopping and spending my time here, but what happened today is definitely ruining it. Today when I was getting a photo of the ceiling here, two security guards approached me, asked me to stop taking photos in a very rude manner. They insisted that it is a private area when obviously it is not. I tried to reason with them saying that this is a public place, I have the right to take photos of the building. They refuse to listen and keep bugging me for quite a while. What they were asking me to do is totally illegal. It violated my rights and disturbed my enjoyment in a public space. Instead of keeping an eye on the real threats, they just keep harassing the photographers. Please educate your security guards so that they know better in terms of laws and their responsibilities. The mall is already dying, don’t do stupid things to drive more customers away.
I give this mall 5 stars only because of what it used to be and the potential of what it could be. It’s a great downtown mall complex but has been neglected and abandoned over the years. I honestly don’t know what happened to cause this but I hope so day it’s revitalized so it could give downtown London some spark again. Of course it will take the whole downtown to revitalize as a whole for this to happen. There are signs of this already and hopefully they will continue to improve the downtown core.
Management is not interested in bringing this mall back to its glory days. It's pretty run down and not being maintained the way it used to be.
Love working out here. Great location right downtown, lots of space in this facility and it's never too busy. This gym has all the amenities any gym should have.
Unbelievable what this place has become. Used to be where everyone went shopping and a bite to eat. I remember the old Elephant and Castle restaurant that was here. Was our favorite place. What a shame!
