This Cineworld has been newly renovated. Looks really good! They have a Starbucks, Candy King and Baskin Robbins on premises. There are kiosks to pay or collect tickets. Cinema seats are roomy, clean and comfortable with sections for wheelchair and strollers.
Even with the building works going on it was still a great time. Friendly staff. The tall red hair girl was so helpful and informative about be taking a baby in with me. Plus the ghostbusters turned up
Amazing new IMAX screen. Used disabled access in a wheelchair. Very easy. Disabled seats are at the back of the auditorium via the lift to the 2nd floor
Paid over £100 for my family to watch Avatar, the cinema was so cold that the audience were sitting in their coats and hats, asked for the heating to be turned up 3 times nothing changed. Asked for my money back and left, cost me a fortune in hot drinks to get warm. It should be said we were not the only ones complaining.
Love the new Imax cinema. Seats are so comfy and visual and sound quality are superb. Only downside with going to any cinema is the price of refreshments. However, there is a Starbucks in the foyer, which means you can enjoy a coffee or hot chocolate and cake.
No wonder the company is in trouble,. Extortionate prices unless you have an unlimited card, like we do Have been twice this week one night no hot dogs, no large cups for drinks but no signage to let you know before you get to the counter. Saturday still no large drinks, hot dogs as plenty but now no bags of sweets. Please can anyone explain how the staff behind the counters can ALL be that slow at serving.
Just been to see the new Avatar film in the imax screen. Absolutely freezing cold. When a film is over 3 hours long in the winter and you have two kids with you this is totally unacceptable. It cost me over £50 for the 3 of us and when I say it was cold I dont just mean a bit nippy, I mean it was freezing cold in the with the air con on. Had to take the kids out halfway through for 5 mins to warm up. Totally ruined the experience and wont be visiting again. Will also be recommending to others not to visit aswel so they don't feel robbed as I do!!
Cineworld is a really good cinema,it has multiple screens, it's spacious, reasonably priced and staff are very friendly and polite. There is a Starbucks coffee on site, disabled access, ample parking and it's free. There are numerous restaurants and fast food outlets around the immediate vicinity and also a travelodge hotel and a premier Inn. Highly recommend this cinema complex.
I'm afraid mu review is the same as everyone else's. The cinema itself is a great place to visit but the queue for food/tickets/drinks are unacceptable. The food is very expensive and totally overpriced for what you get. We couldn't understand why it took so long to pour some drinks and serve up some popcorn. We were in the queue for almost 25 minutes and almost missed the start of the film. On the plus side the film was great.
Awesome place to lose yourself, if you want some escapism time watching movies. Love it, now they have a Costa inside, which you get discount on if you are a cineworld member. Can be cold in some of the screens, so always take a coat just incase. The IMAX is amazing, but a little bit of advice for best row to sit in for the best sound is row J. Screen X is fab for movies such as the new Avatar with lots of scenery, but don't expect side screens on all the time, as it is used when needed, which still is great. 4DX is worth a visit if you are watching an action movie, but there are restrictions to be aware of, such as no hot drinks, due to lots of movement of the chair and also not advisable with certain medical conditions, so ensure you take a look at the list before booking. The drinks and snacks are quite spenny, even with the membership discount, so might be a good idea to take a quick trip to the supermarket for sweets, to save a bit of cash, especially with cost of living as it is at the mo. Enjoy your visit!!! X
