This ancient oasis of peace is a treasure. Its location, set slightly apart from the village as a whole, ensures the visitor is aware of its place deep within a rural community, but its interior brings a vignette of spiritual meaning to anyone who stops to contemplate. Services reflect a variety of Anglican liturgy, from Common Prayer 1662 services in Thomas Cramner's English to the family services that are firmly in modern idiom and so highly accessible. A lively parish life is centered here
Do not pass by this wonderful old Sussex church without visiting the grave of Benjamin Godfrey Windus of Tottenham. He helped restore the church including the windows. He also played a pivotal role in promoting the career of the artist J.M.W Turner.
Very pretty church set in a lovely Sussex village.
Jesus might be here somewhere, even if he's not, a lovely old building with plenty of history.
