I came here for my prom trial makeup, expecting to be amazed! Unfortunately for me i will not be visiting again and will be going else where for my makeup. The staff were very lovely however my makeup was shocking for the amount it cost. It was very rushed and looked that there was no care put into my makeup and something i could have done better on so many levels. Was a real shame as it was a lovely salon inside with a lot of atmosphere and lovely staff.
Poor. There was a group of 5 of us. 3 out of the 5 were not happy... I had a £32 pedicure, no base coat used and after asking to only do cuticle work on my little toes, didn’t do it at all. No hard skin removal or scrub and I had to ask her to put a top coat on my nails after varnishing them and then had to remove varnish from my skin myself. A blow dry was combed out as soon as we got back to the hotel as a loose beach wave was asked for but a curly sue bouffant was given. A manicure was booked but an express manicure was given with shoddy nail varnish finish. Again, this was removed as soon as we got back to the hotel. Shame the salon is untidy and shabby in places as it could be lovely. Top salon prices for sub standard service. Really disappointed.
Myself and 2 friends came to chloe's for a package that included hairstyling, make up and a complimentary drink. It took half an hour before I had my hair done. I had to ask for a drink I then had to wait 2 hours to have my make up done! The make up that was put on was absolutely terrible. I told her I didn't want black eyeshadow and that's what she gave me. I had black bits all over my face, wonky eyelashes and eyelash glue underneath my bottom lashes. I have a pale complexion and she put orange foundation on me! My eyebrows were just terrible and didn't resemble eyebrows. I complained to the hostess who was busy doing my friends make up - as there was no one else to do it! The hostess offered to sort it out for me and explained that it was the make up artists first day. She removed the glue from under my eyes and filled in my eyebrows with black sparkly eyeshadow! When she had done she asked if I was happy to which I said no but was still charged for this. In total we were in there for over 3 hours and had to change our dinner reservations. This caused me alot of distress and ruined my night. After this I went straight back to my hotel room and scrubbed it all off. My hair had also gone flat by this point and I basically spent £45 for nothing as I had to redo my hair also. The next day my eyes were red and sore and wouldn't stop watering. The salon was clearly over booked as it was ridiculously busy. Disgusting customer service. Avoid!
A large hen party booking of 15 girls, booked a year in advance, we turned up and were greeted with a lack of organisation and professionalism. There was another large party booked in at the same time, we complained and advised if they can’t cope with demand they shouldn’t have booked 2 large groups in at the same time. Half of the group had to leave whilst half of us were seen to in a fashion. 1 girl had acrylic nails booked in but surprise surprise they didn’t have a nail technician today so she had to go to the nail bar across the road. 2 poorly done unsuccessful manicures of which we complained and got a refund for these treatments one couldn’t even get the nail polish off?. Nail equipment was dirty. We have 2 girls unhappy with their make up it really wasn’t a professional make over. Hair station had dirty towel with extension glue and hair all over it. Overall lack of communication that 2 make up artists had phoned in sick but generally they overbooked having 2 large groups booked in at the same time. Poor management, poor organisation. Had to sit with wet hair for 20 minutes so my tshirt got soaked and as the bride of a hen party it was just all round unacceptable.
I booked myself to go to Chloe’s salon on 01/08 for hair up and make up as I had a wedding to attend to in Essex that day. It was the first time i had been to Essex and as I follow Chloe’s Beauty salon on Insta and seen great things I booked myself in a month prior. I was feeling very excited and turned up on time to my 9am appointment, however the excited was soon turned into disappointment. Greeted by a obviously hungover receptionist with sunglasses on who was already dealing with a disappointed customer on the phone I looked around the salon and it was nothing like the clean, glitzy gold and white salon it portrays on tv and on instagram. The place could do with a fresh lick of paint and a good scrub to say the least, what I could just about see used to be white chairs were filthy and they clearly hadn’t cleaned the floor from the day before with lashes and dirt stuck to it. I was taken to have my hair put up first which I was happy with once done, the hairdresser was polite but lacked in conversation however overall it was ok and created a look I was happy with. Then came to yet further disappointment.....expecting to follow onto my make up appointment I was then informed the make up artist hadn’t turned up to work. Apparently she was ill the day before but the receptionist said she had seen the make up artist out last night and was hoping she would be in, but she wasn’t. Luckily I had taken my make up bag with me that day as I did think I wouldn’t need it, I wouldn’t have reacted so calmly if I hadn’t. So overall very dissappointed and wouldn’t ever return again. I have visited many salons in the past and have always been happy with the outcome, thinking this salon is so well known and established I was so excited to see what transformation they could create. The posts you see on insta is very different to what I experienced, maybe you only get that treatment if you are on TOWIE or known to the Chloe’s Beauty salon family.
Upon arrival I was shocked at how dirty the place was. Floors were filthy as were the skirting boards and the chairs. Seriously needs a thorough scrub everywhere as it looks very tatty and run down. The staff were incompetent also as half way through my blow dry the girl noticed that there was still conditioner left in my hair so I had to start the whole process again which made us all run late for a meal we had booked and there wasn’t even so much as a sorry. When I took the pins out of my hair when I was getting ready later on it was still clear that the second wash wasn’t done properly either as I could feel the conditioner left in my hair still!!
Booked hair up-do and makeup package well in advance only to receive an email two days beforehand in horrific ‘text message’ English to say that the girl who had booked me in had messed up and the stylist couldn’t do up-do hair. I called and spoke to someone who said I could have ‘hair styling’, but not an updo or wash and blow dry. This seemed silly and so I kept my appt for the makeup and passed on the hair, which appt had already been taken by someone whom I’ve no idea of, but the girl on the phone felt the need to tell me her name and that she was in for a full head of extensions. I flew back to the UK from overseas for a family party and had 2hrs before I had to drive to Sussex to get beautified. At such short notice of this mess up and now unable to gain a package price I wrote an email of complaint and asking for a discount on the makeup to the manager which to this day has not been answered.... The makeup was average. It was rushed. I had to keep asking things like ‘would you be able to put some bronzer on please’ and ‘do you think I should have mascara on my lower lashes’. The girl was lovely, but seemed tired, used filthy brushes and sponges I was the first client at 9am, she applied lipgloss directly from the stick and didn’t clean it before or after, primark makeup and I felt I could have done as good a job if not better myself. The cleanliness of the salon in general was dire. I was really shocked. It was filthy. Wouldn’t recommend and definitely won’t go again. I’d recommend Brush & Blow where luckily I managed to get an appt for my hair after and they were fantastic and their makeup artist seemed incredibly professional and the results I saw on 2 girls were far superior to what I had received at Chloe’s
A friend and I booked at the salon to have our hair done at the same time. Firstly, while having our hair washed the staff member didn't say a word other than for us to lie back and to sit up again. The basin was so uncomfortable resulting in both of us feeling like we had bruised necks for the remainder of the day as well as the following day. My friend had a blow dry and said she thought the hairdresser was going to yank her hair our where she was so rough. I had a cut and blow dry, what can I say, the stylist looked so bored, she was rolling her eyes as if she didn't want to be there. Then she spent no longer than 5 minutes cutting my hair, not even including the layers that I asked for. She styled my hair with straighteners which was ok but the curls had fallen out after half an hour, no products were used. My friend's blow dry had fallen flat after half an hour also. All in a all, terrible customer service, terrible stylists, and 2 very very disappointed customers. I would never use this salon again, would advise others against it, complete waste of money.
Booked in for a hen party, too many clients booked at the same time for the hair/makeup artists to cope with.... also no organisation with who was having what treatments and timings, resulted in us being there for over 4hours and being late for our dinner booking. Good points, loved Gracie’s makeup - she’s fab!
We come to Chloes for our hair and make up for our Best friends wedding reception. Firstly I would like to begin with my make up - They used LIP GLOSS as a glue for glitter eye shadow on myself and my 3 friends. This had ruined my eye make up before I even left the salon. The lady kindly tried to fix this, but obviously due to using LIP GLOSS as a glue, my eye make up was terrible & patchy. My contour was no where near blended and had to re do my make up when I arrived home. I suggested using an eyelash glue of which I was told it would not work. My hair - The young man who started my hair claimed it had to be re washed due to having product in it. He then spent between -10 Minutes discussing this at the front of the shop. I was then asked to have my hair re washed, with a full face a make up on as the stylist said it would not be possible to do my hair unless this was washed. Luckily the lady who was serving at the front desk I did not get her name come over to me, and see herself that my hair did not need re washing. I believe the young man did not want to do my hair. Further more, a stylist took an HOUR and 30 minutes doing a friend of mines hair, and got her hair caught i the hair dryer several times, leaving her with broke hair at the back, and due to not taking care of another one of my friends extensions, has caused severe matting. Very disappointed with the whole experience and will never consider using this place again.
