I took my 16 year old Seiko watch in because it was indicating that the battery was going flat. After speaking with the assistant he confirmed that was the problem we then discussed a service for same watch. He the refered to a catalogue and charged me £74 and told me that it would be serviced in house at there Glasgow branch and I would have it returned in approximately 3 weeks Before the three weeks were up I was passing the shop and went in to enquire if it was ready the assistant I spoke to said that my watch had gone back to Seiko as I had agreed with the first assistant that the watch was not to go back to the manufacturers I was a bit concerned. She then told me that she would send an email and call me next day with a report which I never received. A week later I received a message on my answering machine saying that my watch would cost £250 to get it back to working order and I was to let him know if I wanted the watch back or repaired. He also stated the price was because the watch was a vintage piece. We had already discussed there was a problem with the strap and had already been repaired and the watch wasn't worth a lot. When I went into the shop to arrange getting my watch back and get my money refunded I reminded the manager that when we were in the second time my wife wanted to purchase a pair of earrings that were priced in the window at £29.99 and surely jumped up to £42 we then said we would go for another pair priced at29.99 which also jumped to £42 I have since ordered a battery on line for £6.99 and reset the day date etc and is now working ok I have had to give one star to write this but I don't think they deserve it and would not recommend them to anyone .

seams good service but can never get through on the phone lines always engaged one must wander if anyone is manning them
