Nice and clean car park. Safe and secure place
I'd never parked here previously so drove over the day prior to my very early start rail trip to check it out. Good job I did as neither ticket machine was working properly, as the pay by card card facility was defunct. Ended up paying online for an extra day to include today so that I wouldn't be mucking about in the dark at 5.30am the next day. Hopeless.nEDIT. Paid £7.80 online on 5th Dec 2024 for a day's parking. Turned up to find no available spaces. Did four circuits before giving up and parking next door on their Cocklebury Rd carpark which cost a further £6.10. Emailed to ask for the £7.80 back but have been totally ignored. What a bunch of wasters.
Great station car park - rarely completely full and if you use the app - easy to park and pay
Ok, I'm not going to rave about a railway station! It's a railway station! BUT, it's the viaduct that the station is built on, that leads away Westwards from the station, toward the Box tunnel. The viaduct is another of Brunel's splendidly ornate designs and thankfully, it is also a Grade II listed structure. You just cannot help but admire Brunel, can you?!
Plenty of spaces but the spaces are small for modern cars. Parking machines are incredibly slow to operate and app is not very user friendly. Car Park is very close for the station though.
