If I could give this place zero stars, then I would, as 1 star is too generous. Zero customer service skills and the staff have zero competence. I telephoned an order through at 8pm and it arrived 1 hour and a half later only for it to be a completely different order. When I telephoned to query the order there was zero professionalism. No apology and she was too quick to shift the blame on her daughter, instead of accepting responsibility and rectifying their mistake as we're all human and mistakes can happen. Instead they offered to cook the meal that we ordered in the first place but wanted us to pay extra, no compensation or agoodwill gesture for the inconvenience. They brought the replacement meal out 1 hour later so 10.30pm before getting the chance to eat yet they wanted to charge us an extra £3!!!! Even though it was their mistake in the first place!!!! The woman who said she was the "manager" has a serious attitude problem and with that attitude I'd be amazed if they stay in business much longer. Never had a problem with the previous owners who couldn't do enough for you. Will not be using this takeaway again!!!!!!!!!
Such a disappointment!!! Have used this takeaway before for small orders and have been pleased with quality and service. However ordered large amount£92! on Friday for family birthday- was delivered on time but only half of the order!-took another 45 minutes for rest of order to be delivered. needless to say 'birthday meal' had to be done in shifts, totally spoilt it :
Ordered food at 7:30pm and was told a 9pm delivery time. That's a long time isn't it? But since it was a Saturday night we though maybe they're just popular. Also the menu does say guaranteed felivery times and so in order to provide a guarantee they're probably just quoting on the long side. 3 chasing phonecalls later our food arrived at 10.50pm. Part of this meal was for my 2 kids aged 9 and 11. 9pm would have been late enough for them, but 10.50pm before food arrives. Shocking, awful terrible etc. The food was of a normal Indian takeaway standard, albeit a little cold so I'm not going to complain for complaining's sake, it was genuinely OK - nothing spectacular, but standard. My issue is that they claim guaranteed delivery times on their menus and yet when they failed so spectacularly I eventually got through to a manager who gave me £7.50 back - on an order of nearly £60. I had family down staying with me at the time and was wholely embarassed at the whole debacle. These people do not deserve mine, or anyone else's custom for that matter.
Disgraceful. Portions were tiny for price charged. Ordered the the braised bean curd which should have been listed as braised mangetout!!!! Was freezing cold. Rang to complain and was told a bare faced lie that the order had come through late from the Just eat site and they had cooked it at 7pm...that was clever...cooked it at 7pm and delivered by 7.20pm!!! Busted!!. I rang my daughter later in the evening and was just telling her I had a crap Chinese....she said.. "was it the Chinese and Indian takeaway.....she too had the same problem a little while back. Tiny portions, cold but hersalso arrived an hour late. How can people run a business like this and get away with it. I wish I had read the reviews before deciding to order...most reviews pretty much said the same thing. Will def not be going again and will certainly warn other friends if they mention it.
It was lush. The value for money was great as was the portion sizes. The premises looked extremely clean and the food was just lovely. It was nicer than previous Chinese takeaways I've been too and cheaper as well! Was told the food would be ready by 6.20, and it was right on time!
Would not recommend this place to anyone!!! Ordered food from here at around 7.45pm The lady on the phone said it would be with us at around 9.30pm 10.15pm came and me and my family still didn't have our food. We rang up and asked where our food was and the lady on the other end of the phone said we never ordered anything and there was nothing down in our name even though when I phoned up previously to order the lady told me my address and even gave me the total of how much it would cost£23.50 Lady on the phone didn't handle this well And said she couldn't do anything as there was no order for us and asked us to reorder. I am disgusted with this service and I will not be ordering food from here again!
Placed an order via Hungryhouse @ 18.30 told eta 18:50 - 19:40. At 19:45 called and advised the driver doing several deliveries should be with me by 20:00 20 mins later than originally advised. At 20.00 I was called and told the driver was in the carpark I looked out of the window no one there they insisted he was and told me they would call back. At 20.10 now 30 mins later than agreed I called them back and told the driver is outside the front of the building, I told them there was nowhere for him to stop at the front that is why I gave instruction for the carpark. The man on the end of the phone told me hungryhouse had not given any instruction they dispute this then magically when I asked to speak to the Manager I was told the driver was at my address knocking the door. I said this was not true I offered to callback on face time or Skype as there was no one there. I was then told the driver was in the carpark looked out of the window no one there. I was told I had given the wrong address !!!! When I did speak to the manager he told me the driver had other orders to deliver and put the phone down. THANKGOD I DID NOT PAY IN ADVANCE. If you want to waste time waiting for an order they have NO intention of delivering these are your people, if your looking for a takeaway use a professional company .....
I usually order from this place and have never had a problem but since this new ownership its nothing but bad and rude people on the phone. Ive never had such a rude lady on the phone and the staff shouting in background!! Very poor. I wouldnt eat here i were you!! They then cancelled my order and hung up the phone on me and all for nothing!! Discusting!! You should definatly replace your receptionist
Would give zero stars if it would let me. Absolutely disgusting customer service. Called a liar over the phone because they screwed up my order. Sent 16 bhaji's when i only ordered 4 and then banned because they screwed up the order. AVOID AVOID AVOID unless you want to get shafted. New owners have really let the reputation slide.
I'm gutted to be giving this dump a 1 star! Ballsed up my order, Infact sent me 16 onion bhajis only wanted 4!!!! Didn't send a Tandoori grill yet I was virtually called a liar by a so called manager. And their mess up has resulted in my address being put "on the board" from now on so I take it I'm banned! !! Really? They've done me a favour!!! Crap customer service, crap everything in fact. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! !!!! You have been warned! !!!!!!!!!
