Service was polite but slow. Food wasn't up to standard at all for the price. I ordered fillet steak and it was ok but I would guess rump steak at best, possibly even frying steak. Salt and pepper chips were rubbish. No seasoning on them except for onions. My partner had duck in plum sauce and it looked inedible. There was no veg in the dish and the sauce looked like dishwater. Wouldn't recommend

Came here yesterday and we thoroughly enjoyed it! When booking a table via Facebook, they responded very quickly and sent me a copy of the banquet menu upon request. Very good online communication! The banquet is fantastic value since the portions are huge! Every course was flavourful and very quick service too! I would certainly return! Thank you for our fantastic experience China Red.
All the food was brilliant and good value for money, staff are friendly and helpful. Only down side is the dessert menu is small but our group was full and satisfied without a dessert.Food: 5/5
We have been going to China Red for years our go to restaurant for all the family, birthdays, graduation party, engagements, the food is plentiful and delicious as always, would recommend to anyone, staff friendly as always, we do realise that prices have gone up but the buffet has gone up a great deal, less people in now and unfortunately we will not be going as often as we would like.
Friendly staff that indulged me with my daggy questions about the carp pool, etc. Ordered the wonton soup starter — the broth tasted as if MSG had been added. Duck pancakes duck meat was very dry but the quantity was generous so more than 2 could share. Our son ordered the Kung Pao chicken which wasn't spicy as expected, but was very sweet :- Dietary restrictions: There are signs on the walls prompting diners to flag their dietary restrictions if required but we were not asked when ordering. I didn't think to enquire if MSG was being used in dishes.
Not been to China Red for years & must say i wasn't disappointed, staff were fantastic, service & food spot on, would most certainly go again

Very tasty food, fast service and nice staff! Recommended for good quality Chinese cuisine. It can get busy here so booking is recommended.
I love this place usually but tonight I had a delivered green curry and it was disgusting it was not in the least bit edible, straight in the bin it went, followed by me been put off them now.
