My partner and I love it here! We were gutted when we moved away but we're back! The food is always top notch, the service is excellent and always good value for money. Good food takes time so always wait a little bit longer than stated and you won't be disappointed.
The owner has to be one of the rudest craziest individuals I have ever experience in the ‘hospitality industry’. I order a children’s meal and an adults meal. Around the time my order was to be delivered I went on my emails to call to check the whereabouts and noticed a 40 minute delay which was past my son’s bedtime. I called advising I needed to cancel to be told it isn’t her responsibility and I need to contact a website called yoyo despite me ordering on chicknrun.co.uk. She then proceeded to scream and shout at me telling me she didn’t ask me to order and it isn’t her responsibility to give me a refund. She was just screaming abhorrently at me she really is vile. There was no talking to her she invited me to come to the shop for an argument with her. All because I cancelled because I think a two hour wait for a butterfly chicken and popcorn chicken is wholly unreasonable!
Easily the best fried chicken in DN7, I've never had bad food or service, it's always great. Definitely recommend the sweetcorn as a side.
Took 1 hour 45mins to arrived food was cold and disgusting , phoned to ask how long food would be was told they would call back in 2 mins No one called back tried to call again no answernHad this a few times nothing seems to change
This is second time we have ordered and been disappointed. Won't be ordering again. After first time ordering and being disappointed, decided to try again and wished hadn't bothered.nChicken batter soggy, chicken not even fully covered in batter. Hardly any chicken on the bone. Compared to the standard of food from a few months ago something has changed drastically. No longer enjoyable at all.
