I stopped to use the EV charging point in the car park but went in to use the loo. Unfortunately it was quite late and the coffee machine had been turned off but the staff were happy to let me sit and watch the football.
Came in for lunch with my mother in law as we used to eat frequently here and we were very disappointed.nWe asked if food was being served and a disinterested lady said yes, I then asked if we were to sit anywhere as in the passed we were shown to a table. The response again was yes.nPub and restaurant were quiet but I still had to wait a bit to be served.nI had the chicken which was Luke warm and louisiana style not in the slightest bit crispy but some how the thighs were cool and burnt. Chips didn't taste fresh. No tartar sauce for fish and chips. When we asked was told they run out.nNo check back on our food, our plates were cleared and we were asked if there was a pudding to follow which there was. After quite a wait we asked the same girl where the desert was and she carried on cleaning tables before going in to the kitchen and never returned to us. 5 minutes later a guy brought out the wrong desert when I said I asked for the sponge not crumble he went back to the girl on the bar who went through the orders and they continued to talk about us right in front of us.nnTo note the staff had their hair down - not h&s. There were no product labels on sauce bottles and they were putting sauces together the end of the bar to refil the empties. Not a good look.nnRude staff.nCold food not enjoyable!nDirty, sticky menus.nLoose toilet seat that slid under me.nnCertainly won't be returning which is a shame as we have been eating there for years!nnEMAILED AS REQUESTED ON 10/09/24nNOT RECEIVED A REPLY ‍
Absolutely Brilliant Night at the Chesnut!nI've been coming to this pub for a while, and the difference under the new management is incredible. The atmosphere is better than ever, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the service has improved massively over the past couple of months.nnI was especially impressed by the charity DJ battle they hosted recently—what a fantastic event! Great energy, a fun crowd, and all for a good cause. It’s clear the new team really cares about building a welcoming community vibe.nnI’m looking forward to bringing my family to another event soon!
Great place for supper, especially burgers were you can choose any 3 sides. As always the desserts were amazing!
Went for there 2 for 1 drinks and was told we're not doing that on bank holiday Monday but wasn't stated in the advert.nSo we tryed again and went down to try out there £3 pound a pint on there app to find out there apps not working, would not honour thisnpromotion over the bar so left again.nWould no be returning as there is plenty of pubs in andover
