Always a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff are really welcoming. Great drink selection and good food. Lovely views from the front and rear beer garden. Muddy boot's and paws are welcome.
we arrived 1:15pm on thursday, not many customers. the meals were value for money. the steak and kidney pudding and catch of the day haddock were good. the lamb tagine may be spice for some people. the special starter belly pork in teriyaki sauce was OK, it would be better with more pieces of belly pork.
Excellent Pub, was able to fit us in, 4 adults, baby and 3 dogs. Fast service, food was really good, polite staff, really lovely place. Dogs got a treat, even my blind dog. We will stop there again when we are in the area. Also beautiful views.
Great pub which serves the best pint of Timothy Taylors Landlord for miles. Lovely friendly staff and locals. They serve great home cooked food and even do afternoon tea. Dog friendly too. Well worth a visit. Great views across the valley
Alfand Rochelle have managed to create the traditional pub experience with the cherry tree. Not only do they serve amazing , home cooked and good value food , they have created a very friendly warm local pub.

Great pub with a variety of ales to try. The views outside are outstanding, they face towards Cawthorn and Barnsley in the distance. Worth visiting to drink in the scenery.
