Good service and good food. The staff tend to be busy so it can take a while to get seated and served, but they are friendly and helpful. The food was good and large enough portions. We also had a couple of the deserts including the massive ice-cream Sunday with candyfloss on the top. It took three of the party to try finish it but we didn't manage it this time. It all made for a good evening with the family.

Pretty good service from here, had a nice dinner. They catered to my allergies as well so that was very nice of them. A calm and friendly pub with a restaurant on the side. My only complaint is one of the glasses had a lipstick stain on the rim, and I do not wear lipstick.

I visited the recently refurbished Chequers last Saturday.. I have to say that they appear to have done a very good job of it. As for the general public itself, it's the same ethos. Reasonably priced food and drink.and the staff seem friendly enough. This is very much a local pub,, and will continue too be that. But a very comfortab6 one.

Nice place but always takes forever to get served. A forty five minute wait for food once ordered. Urgh! Aside from that friendly staff and kid friendly environment which is always a plus.
