Small inside but has a great selection of cheese, chutneys and drinks. Could do with another till on busy days as it becomes quite crowded as everyone is trying to test the cheese and it's unclear where the queue for the till starts. 10 cheeses for £30 at the moment.
Fab selection of quirky cheese's. All served with a smile and love that you can taste before you buy.....perfect..
This place is amazing, so many different kinds of cheese to taste and try, including some unusual ones who would have thought carbon black cheese would actually taste so nice. The more you buy the more you save.
Amazing cheese, Extra mature gold cheada and plough man cheada and black troufel cheada most Amazing staff will be regla custma when visit Bakewell each time
I visited the Cheese and Wine Emporium for the first time today. Friendly and helpful staff advised me on the local beers and the range of cheese. I'm now enjoying both!
Myself and my son visited bakewell during half term and found this little shop, and how pleased we were that we did. The lady behind the counter was so lovely and friendly. We tried some different cheeses and a good chat with her, she was very kind and took time with my son, unfortunately I didn't get her name. We went back the next day to buy some gifts to take home and my son wanted to say goodbye to her. Will definitely be visiting again!
Great little shop. Plenty of choice and the lady who served us was very helpful. The cheese we purchased on her recommendation vintage gold was amazing. I would recommend a visit if your in Bakewell.
Second visit to this shop. Lovely selection of local gin although I need to find the right mixer for the Shining Cliff Bakewell Pud. The Cheshire cheeses are simply deliciously moorish
A lovely range of specialty cheeses and local beers. They're not the cheapest - but worth paying a little bit extra for a real treat! It's also worth joining the loyality scheme for special offers and a 10% discount.
I went on Sunday and brought some cheeses and crackers. When I returned home some 40 miles away my girlfriend who this was a present for noticed one of the cheeses was out of date by 2 1/2 weeks. I tried to call the store but they have a system that prevents calls to the store directly and had to leave a message for some one called Richard. I did not get a call back. So I called 3 times Monday PM. Same message system left message and also sent an email. Still no reply or acknowledgement by Wednesday PM. I have left another message. Service in store was great but you can only really judge good customer service on how they deal with problems. So far they have not dealt with the problem.
